Ritchie's Smokin' BBQ

I'm glad Michelle Abraham recommended this place on good day state line cause the food was delicious!! I almost grabbed a bowl of the mac & cheese with pulled pork in it for the road cause it was so good.

This is a beautiful clean restaurant you might not think much from the outside but on the inside you are served like a family member the staff girls that work here are courteous and sweet and the grilled cheese brisket sandwich is out of this world good! You could see how the line would move slow during a busy time but it's not fast food you're getting real food here and it is definitely a good deal and great quality. If you're reading the reviews, read the responses from the owner. They are very interested in keeping the customers happy and always try to make their food high quality. LOOK NO FURTHER, GO HERE!

Ordered online I would give five stars but they gave me loaded nachos when I ordered loaded fries. Food is delicious though.

If I could give 2.5 stars I would have. We ate here on 5/29/2024 after not being by in a while and all ordered the same thing, Brisket Philly. There was a giant sign saying on Wednesdays, there is a special of 20% off. The three of us all paid full price not even noticing there was no discount. Oh well we thought, mistakes happen. The problem was that we overpaid from the food we received. The Philly sandwiches used to be big and that's what we were craving. We were incredibly disappointed when we opened our meals just to discover that they are about a half of the original size for the same price. While it was good food, I feel like the value for what you receive is not there any longer.

We tried the pulled pork, ribs, cornbread & bakery items. It was all really delicious. We are from Nashville TN so it's hard for us to find that down home bbq and this is pretty dang close. It was really good. They service & atmosphere was great. I brought my toddler in and they were so sweet to him giving him sweet treats and talking to him. When my in laws come up from TN next month I'll be taking them here!

We had Richie's for our annual family reunion. We had the pulled chicken, ribs, brisket and pulled pork. Our sides consisted of green beans, Mac n cheese, coleslaw and baked beans. It was ABSOLUTELY amazing. Everyone loved everything. We had enough for everyone to take some home and us for the rest of the week. I opted for the delivery and set up and the girls were friendly and asked how I wanted it all set up. Everyone was very professional. Highly recommended them.

I chose to dine here one day because i heard years ago this place was great. Its so much further from great. Its awefull! Only people who would enjoy this food are the geriatric and people who can't taste. Portions were small for the price, the quality of the meat was very poor. Dry, cold and no love put into making anything. Mac and cheese might as well been cafeteria food. I would'nt feed any of this to my pets if i cared about them. Oh the atmosphere is cold and dated 30 years. All the staff will stand and stare at you like ur on trial for liking their food, like they know it's crap but still wanna charge you like they're making bbq. Don't waste your time and money here EVER! forget what you heard the old Richies is gone!! R.I.P!! You're better off eating at a bbq chain than this place. Don't be afraid to leave your honest opinion for them too, the person in charge for their page is a REAL keyboard warrior. But im sure they're harmless haha!

Well, we all know it's hard to find good Barbeque in Illinois. Ritchie's offers that locally without having to drive for hours, or go to a chain restaurant for their liquid smoke flavored meat. 5 Stars from this guy!
