Anderson Japanese Gardens

I had a lovely time, i do think the food is priced very high. From what I understand this is where a lot of the sustainable income comes from for them so, I get it. It was a beautiful experience. I highly recommend going to see plant life and experience views you would not typically get in Illinois. The history of this place is also really cool, I recommend looking into it.

Beautiful Japanese garden with plenty of walking trails. We enjoyed a solid hour of wandering the gardens enjoying the plantings. Since it was relatively early in the spring, there were lots of things just starting to flower. The map and guide provided detail where some of the featured plantings that will be coming into bloom are located. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch! We will be planning return trips to see the gardens during different seasons.

The vibe is very zen I went on a Wednesday afternoon. Right after the rain. The garden was peaceful and the water was still. A great place to journal, nature watch and take pictures. I can't wait to see it full bloom.

Went on the second open day of the season. Beautiful winding paths, multiple ponds and koi to feed (there is food available for $1 at the gift shop), statuary and zen gardens. Very knowledgeable volunteer guides are easy to locate and are very helpful. Great scenery and serene backdrop.

Such a beautiful place! Friends took me for my birthday and we had a wonderful time enjoying God's creation. We enjoyed identifying the different plants and we got to see koi and a pair of wood ducks. Highly recommend a visit to these gardens. It took us about 2 hours to walk through it.

I don't even know how this place has bad ratings. This was the most beautiful, relaxing garden we've ever been to. Fresco at the gardens was also very good. All organic produce and amazing drinks. Everyone is so friendly there. We drove an hour and a half away to come here and we are glad we did. We stayed for 4 hours because we didn't want to leave! I would give it 10 stars if I could. Beautiful!

The garden gives you its solitude and fills hearts with its spirit, if you manage to let it in. For the best experience, try to come here in the morning of the weekday. They offer at the ticket desk the food for fish in ponds, which attacks some other creatures of the wild. Great fun for kids.

This place is a vibe. Arrival - adequate parking. Entrance through visitor center. Nicely proved. Map provided to guide you through the absolutely beautiful grounds. Options for wheelchairs if needed. Property is well maintained. It's peaceful. Intimate. Must visit.
