The Standard

The Standard was pure magic for our Fae Ball on March 22, 2025. We transformed the entire space into a shimmering realm fit for the fae, and The Standard offered the perfect canvas to bring that fantasy to life. From bottom to top, the venue flowed like a dream. The first floor was our small Rainbow Market--ideal for welcoming guests into our world. Upstairs, the energy shifted into something ethereal. With elegant candlelit touches, it became the heart of the night--our grand ballroom for dancing, revelry, and more than a little mischief. The layout allowed us to blend immersive decor with open space, so it never felt crowded, just full of magic. The rooftop conservatory and outdoor space were the final touch of wonder--a true soiree under the stars. Surrounded by glass and sky, guests wandered into the crisp night air for a breather, sipping drinks and sharing laughter beneath the moonlight. It felt like stepping into a dream, and it gave the evening a perfect sense of otherworldly ease. The staff was supportive, flexible, and genuinely kind--exactly what we needed to pull off an event of this scale. We couldn't have asked for a better venue partner. The Standard didn't just host the Fae Ball. It became part of the story.

We couldn't have picked a better venue for our wedding. The Standard is setup so beautifully it made our special day so much fun, the support staff was amazing as well by handling everything that popped up with ease. You really couldn't pick a better vent to get married.

We have hosted numerous events at The Standard. The large amount of space is perfect for all kinds of occasions. We have hosted baby showers, women's events, book rebindings, brunches, and more! It's truly the perfect space for any need.

We just got married here this past weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better day, with such amazing staff! This venue is so gorgeous and so spacious. Sara, our point of contact leading up to the day, was so incredibly helpful with any and all questions we had. Along with our day of coordinators, handling all of the details of the day. Our day felt like an actual fairytale.

Got married here in March 2025 and we could not be happier with our experience at The Standard. From the first time we visited, we knew that this was where we wanted to have our wedding. The entire space is beautiful, and it is so wonderful/convenient to have every part of the day all in the same building. We felt so taken care of by the staff. Whether it was Sara throughout the whole process, Hannah the week leading up/day of, the multiple other staff on-site the day of, or the bar staff keeping the drinks flowing, we knew that we were in good hands the whole time. It has been almost two months and our guests are still raving about how beautiful and fun the whole day was! We truly could not recommend The Standard enough.

I recently attended an event at The Standard and I was blown away by the friendly bar staff, the beautiful aesthetic of the venue, and the attention to details from the planners. Highly recommend for anyone looking to book anything from a wedding to a retirement party, the team at The Standard will take great care of you.

Our only daughter got engaged on December 2022 by January the search was on to find a venue in the Chicago area. After viewing several venues, they chose to make an appointment with The Standard in Rockford. May 18,2024 was booked In our eyes they could not have made a better choice for a venue. It was the Chicago vibe they were hoping for, with the historic building and all the different texture and brick, the bougie chandelier , the roof top bar. It was absolutely stunning for an evening on the roof top for celebrating , conversation, and dancing the night away. Then to top the whole package we hired Sara, The Standards, wedding coordinator and her incredible staff. Sara listened to their vision and made sure to find the vendors that would help carry out that vision. The day of the wedding the whole staff made sure that the wedding was carried out with the highest degree of perfection. There was not a time that Sara and her staff was not there to assistant and coordinate the whole day. Rockford or Chicago brides ... Call The Standard you will not be disappointed you will have your special day be everything you dreamt it to be.

We had our wedding at The Standard earlier this month and I cannot say enough good things about this venue. The space is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is incredible. We opted for the full coordination package and it was completely worth every penny. Sara worked with us to make sure every single detail was exactly what we wanted and often offered inspiration when we didn't know exactly what we did want. She gave us a list of preferred local vendors, almost all of which we decided to choose and everyone worked so effortlessly as a team. On the day of the wedding, Sara and Hannah and the whole team working at The Standard constantly checked in with us to make sure we were okay and took care of everything behind the scenes so we could just enjoy the day. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful space and wonderful team of people to make your wedding dreams come true!
