Magdy's Restaurant

The food was incredible and our server was a true gem! We did have a rather long wait for our entrees (perhaps kitchen staffing issues?), but the Red Snapper in a cream cheese crab sauce was amazing! I liked the flavor of potatoes and veggies, but they were a little undercooked for me- although my husband and grandson thought they were fine (I prefer a little more tender). You could literally taste the freshness of the house salad and their in-house blue cheese dressing was perfection! The complimentary bread had the perfect combination of crusty bite and pillowy softness inside. We look forward to returning when we are in Terre Haute again.

Absolutely delicious!! Passed by here for years and finally decided to stop. Glad we did. The food was spectacular!! Quiet. Quaint. Clean and the food was cooked perfectly. No steak sauce needed for the ribeye. Better than texas roadhouse. Melt in your mouth. Little pricier than most but I will pay extra for higher quality.

We had an amazing time and we enjoyed the food and appreciated the whole experience. Our dinner started with complementary bread and butter. After that, we had a salad with a delicious dressing. Our main course was a dish of quail in special wild mushrooms sauce, a dish of a rack of lamb which I highly recommended, a dish of snapper with homemade cajun spice, and the venison on the cherry port sauce. For dessert, we had this delicious tiramisu. Magdy the owner is a very skilled chef and a friendly welcoming person. This place is one of the best places for me. Highly recommended and it's better to call before you go.

Walked in at 545 was seated promptly. There were maybe three other tables at the time, was told to sit whenever. Waiter sat me and offered a drink I declined and stuck with the water that was provided. Began to look at the menu and found what I wanted relatively quickly. More diners began to enter and be seated as the time carried on. At 605 I was given bread and wasn't spoken to by the waiter. At this point I had given up after waiting 20 minutes to even place an appetizer I left. The menu looks promising and the review seem to echo this, but with just one server and a 20 minute wait I couldn't justify waiting any longer. May try again another day and update review, as for now a 2 Star is the best I can do.

Absolutely delicious from the filet Marsala to the home made tiramisu! I got a bite of the red snapper and it was delicious too.

I cannot speak highly enough about this amazing restaurant. We attended for a work Christmas party. Magdy made the most delicious food from start to finish. Do yourself a favor, and go try it! There is also a full bar and an excellent selection of wine!

Do NOT judge from the outside, although I can see why you might. We took a chance and we were blown away. It was a very quaint and nicely decorated restaurant. It had white linen tablecloths and napkins, nice music and everything was very clean. They had a nice wine list and we ordered some chardonnay as an appetizer....and then an actual appetizer. For the main fare we ordered beef wellington and chicken caprese. The food was absolutely delicious! Chef Magdy came out and spoke with us. He was absolutely charming!! He comped us free desserts, which were also delicious, and made us feel like we were eating with an old friend. We dressed for the occasion, but it is not necessary at all. It's a very comfortable, fine dining experience. Give it a try.

"Thank you, Magdy, and we'll be back again and again!" We said that in 2020, and yesterday, we returned with the same couple for another shared Anniversary Dinner. Everything was delicious, as usual. It's all too easy to overeat here, you don't want to stop since it's all so good. We ended up taking dessert home because you just can't pass it up but you can't eat anymore there!
