Motel 6 Terre Haute IN

To start its not motel 6, its econo lodge, asked the person working why they havent changed it her response was, i dont know just work here!!! They charge 10 for pet and 25 dollar deposit

Was quoted over the phone wkly rates were $330.00 and when checking in to the room wkly rate was $350.00 plus $50.00 deposit. Not happy about the wifi sucking ass. Says I'm connected to the wifi but when trying to search Google for a local look up says no internet connection. Smh

My disabled veteran spouse and I drove all day,8+ hours and saw the sign for $47 rooms (it's actually $95 after taxes) when we checked in,we were absolutely disgusted by the smell,uncleanliness and broken tub/bathroom that had no hot water.We moved rooms and still had issues,when I brought up to the extremely rude manager she was instantly dismissive,rude and told me I can just have my money back. Do not stay here,the photos are of the old property.The rooms and state of building is falling apart with a very negative energy and dog runs overfilled with dog poop.The worst hotel,service and rooms in the state!

When I arrived in the lobby I was barely greeted by the lady at desk. She was helping another customer with an issue. Manager came out was also helping same customer. Waited about 10-12 minutes just to be helped with 2 people on. When I was helped the room that I booked was not available, so she (Lady of duty) asked if I was alright with a different room; I said yes. The room door on the outside looked as it need some attention as it had some type of marks on it. The room had two beds. The one bed had hair in it and the other one looked safer, so I slept on it. The mattress was very lumpy and it seemed it was there for over 20 years. Pillows were flat and the room smelled like smoke. I would have left at this point and asked for my money back, but I was tired. In the morning I had a sore throat and felt as if I smoked a pack of cigarettes. The bathrooms looked dirty and so did the bath and shower. I felt better not showering and left instead. I have stayed at other Motel 6 in the past, but this would have been the worst. As I business owner myself I understand issues my arise and hence I am letting you know. Branding this hotel as a Motel 6 will hurt your company in the long run if the standard has sunk so low. I understand I am not staying at a Hilton and not paying 150/room/day, but there needs to be some type of standard. The rooms need a major overhaul in this hotel or change the name to an off brand. I realize that Motel 6 is budget lodging, but I have come to expect mostly clean, well maintained rooms. Not so much here. I had to use my shoulder to bump my door each time I entered. There were flies and spiders in the room. Some receptacle did not work. The walls were dirty, along with the bathtub area. No hot water in the shower. Sink took a very long time to drain. I was there for two nights and no housekeeping came to clean the second day. I give it a second star because at least the TV worked and staff was nice.

Good deal for your money the staff was excellent and they were able to make our stay comfortable.

I was satisfied with the staff. They were very polite and answered all of my questions. The room looked recently remodeled and was very clean. The beds where very comfortable, I never had a problem with any of the other overnight guests noise or how well I could hear anyone through the walls of my room. I slept well and the room was well insulated and stayed very comfortable all evening. The only thing I had a problem with the entire stay was that the doors locks looked damaged and not very safe. I was staying with a child in my party and it did not make me feel very safe for the evening, but all in all I had an enjoyable night.

For the price, it was great. Clean and quiet. Convenient location to the interstate and walking distance to restaurants if so desired. Was greeted immediately upon entering by Jessica, the front desk clerk. She was amazing and had a great sense of humor. Service was great. As for the hotel itself, the room I was in was awesome. Everything worked. However, I did have to ask for an extra towel, there was only one. Other than that, my stay was uneventful, just like I like it.
