The Verve

Didn't have any food just drinks which were great. Had a few variety of different drinks to give us a good idea of the contemporary mixed drinks offered. Highly recommended would come back.

I would not recommend The Verve to cater your event. They did a cash bar at my wedding but we gave bracelets to our wedding party so they did not have to pay, we would be given a tab to pay for their drinks after. During the event, the bartenders automatically started pouring doubles early on and charged us for them without being asked or having an agreement with us. There were also drinks on our tab that were unaccounted for. When I tried to discuss my concerns, the owner had me talk to a staff that worked the event. I had a difficult time getting ahold of him. When I was able to with him, I was only met with constant argument and judgement about my "drunk" guests. I tried to be civil and then tried to have a discussion with the owner. She called me and didn't even pause for a breathe while belittling me and didn't give me a chance to say a word. I appreciate business standing up for their employees but feel like the customer needs to at least be heard as well. I don't want to hurt small business but situations like this need to be put out there so potential future customers can be knowledgeable about what they are getting into. Thank you.

Bouncer physically put his hands on my neck and chest and decided my id was fake after 3 seconds of looking at it, refusing to shine a light on it or scan it. Disgusting behavior.

Nice little bar downtown Terre Haute. Start slow but get really busy around 11pm. You should definitely order as many drinks as you possibly can: they're so good !

I'm a bartender from Indy. Was invited by some local friends. Gotta say this place beats 90% of the places we have in the city in regards to prices, music, and atmosphere. I do see what people mean when they say the bartenders are rude but being a bartender myself I get it they have a no nonsense attitude, which if you're dealing with drunk college kids all night that don't tip, I would too. Great place over all keep up the good work.

Bartenders are awesome, very skillful. Security on Saturdays is plentiful but not very observant and overzealous as they hassle and expel the wrong people, not the overserved and rude instigators. I realize they have a tough job that I respect but there are two sides to every story. They need to talk to the people they kick out instead of just using a heavy hand. Some of us just don't like our feet stepped on without an acknowledgment , we are not looking to start trouble.

I have never had a bad time here. The atmosphere here is always chill throughout the week and def gets lively over the weekend. I def recommend try to come out whenever Ally or Monty are workin they both have a few tricks up there sleeves and have never given me a bad drink.

Had a great time playing some pool. Nice sitting area in the back, good music, great people, great service and clean restrooms, at the time of my visit. Easy access to the pizza joint attached to the same building, if you're hungry. They close earlier than the verve does, so good it early if you're hungry.
