The Quarters at Ames

The Quarters is so so clean! Their model unit is also so smells good and the staff are wonderful. I have lived here for a year and I love it so much I renewed! They also did a good job w my roommate matching which was a concern! Definitely would check them out

This place is definitely on the higher end of apartments in the area. The office people were very nice and maintenance came in a timely fashion. Communication between you and management is great with quick replies and clear responses. They even host numerous events involving free foods and activities. How there are some draw backs. The first is that there was a couple of days of snow the sidewalks and parking lots where not cleared properly so all the snow became ice and it was difficult walking to your car and your car would slide coming out of the parking lots. Initial move in was great and very understanding for out of state students but, for having to pay a cleaning fee, they really don't clean. There was a bunch of hair (both people and animal), stains in the bathroom, along with the floors being so dirty they ruined socks.

It wasn't even an hour before they were already at the door to fix the problem! I had been given the incorrect key for one of the bedrooms, went to the office and got a new one, but that didn't work either. When I called maintenence, they were there super quick, gave me a fresh key right away, and Had my door unlocked before I even knew it. Love service like that!

I would highly recommend the Quarters at Ames. I lived at another apartment within walking distance to Jack Trice and I enjoyed my time at the Quarters a lot more. The units were clean and spacious upon move-in. The unit had a more home feeling and the carpet and hardwood floors were very nice. I lived on the second level and it was nice to share a hallway with the other unit across the hall from me. There wasn't any extra foot traffic because of this. The pool and clubhouse were always very clean and a nice addition to be able to use after class. The gym was very well maintained and just as nice as the gym I was paying to use. I actually cancelled my gym membership shortly after moving in. I throughly enjoyed my time at the Quarters and would highly recommend this apartment to any students at Iowa State or someone who is living in Ames.

I've been living in Ames as an international student for over 10 years, but I've never come across a place as good as the Quarters. The property manager, John, is extremely friendly and always provides support for the residents! It's a quiet apartment with great neighbors. I highly recommend this place!!

These apts are amazing! Clean, spacious and convenient! The amenities are top notch and I am so excited for my daughter to move in. The leasing manager/office staff have been great to work with and have done everything possible to accommodate our unique situation. She will be in the B style 2 bed 2 bath and has a lovely patio as well!! Everyone says these are great if you can get in and we are so thankful we did!

The workers are amazing and are always efficient when something is needing fixed and or repaired or when you just need help with something. They work with you and to make living easier for you as well. Amazing people all around.

I lived at The Quarters last year and it started off great until after moving in. After that it was all down hill. All of their amenities broke. Hot tub was broken, golfing simulator was broken, funky smells randomly appeared in the game room. We were never told that our apartment was a handicap apartment which if we had the choice, we wouldn't have wanted. I just wanted out of there and forget about it so I did. I've been out of there for about 5 months and my old roommates and I got an email from them. They said we owe for carpet cleaning and deep cleaning. In their instructions for moving out was for us to clean the apartment or we will be fined. In this email sent by The Quarters Ames, THEY ARE GOING TO SEND US TO A COLLECTION COMPANY AND TAKE LEGAL ACTION!!! This is the first time we are hearing about this charge and they are sending it to everyone 5 months later. The Quarters looks good on the visit but your stay there will not be what you think. I've attached some pictures from when I moved in, doesn't look like it was "deep cleaned" before I moved in.
