This was truly a dream come true! We originally had a nice wedding when we were first married in 2009. We wanted to renew our vows at 10 years, but our children play sports and we could not. This time we were determined. We decided on destination wedding because we wanted everyone who wanted to be there to make travel arrangements. What we did not expect was over 30 guest to come! We decided on a cruise because it went to multiple places and we could get off and have a wedding, and get back on. It was a gamble! We wanted beachfront, but all beaches in Jamaica, even ones at resorts, said it would be semi-private due to guest and public beach attendees being able to use the space as well. This was not on the beach, but it was private and the view was breathtaking! And we would have been burning on hot sand on a beach! This was such a scary ordeal. We only had pictures to go off of, but Kevan made the process so easy. We met via Zoom, messaged all the time on What's app, he went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure I was comfortable and we had everything set. I'm in tears writing this. We put so much trust in them. He even scheduled transportation from the boat to the venue and back. Our fear was making it back to the boat on time and we ended on time and no issues. We are ABSOLUTELY returning. He has our trust and we highly recommend The Palm Terrace. Oh! And the food was DELICIOUS!!! Just so happy. One of the best memories for the rest of our lives to cherish.
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Kim virtually for my client's birthday celebration in Montego Bay, Jamaica. We were searching for an intimate but beautiful venue in the Montego Bay area for our wedding. As an avid gardener, I have always wanted my wedding to be in a garden setting where I am surrounded by lush, beautiful plants. I have also planned many weddings during my career, and it was important to me that the service at the venue was professional and seamless. After looking at several other venues, we came upon The Palm Terrace online and called right away. The phone was answered by the owner, Kevaugh Stewart, who was quite warm and professional, and we arranged a site visit. The venue was exactly what we wanted: a beautiful setting that could accommodate our wedding ceremony and cocktail reception in a well-maintained garden, and an outdoor reception on the deck with the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea. Our wedding day was magical, and my expectations were exceeded from the moment I walked down the aisle. It was as though I was walking into a fairytale. After the ceremony, our guests moved into the cocktail reception with live music and then transitioned to the deck for the reception. The deck was bordered by majestic palm trees and offered panoramic views of the airport and Caribbean Sea. We danced under the stars to the music provided by DJ Watson, who was provided by the venue. Throughout the planning process, Kevaugh and his team were great to work with. They were attentive, accommodating, and worked with our vendors to bring our vision to life. He was also able to supply us with last-minute audio-visual requests. All our guests had a wonderful time and remarked how absolutely stunning the venue was. It was an unforgettable experience for everyone, and we are very grateful to Kevaugh and the team at The Palm Terrace for helping to make our big day everything we dreamed it would be. I highly recommend this venue to anyone wishing to have a wedding or any other celebration.
Amazing facility. The views are breathtaking, but the serving staff are inexperienced. Respectfully, they need training, or the person expediting needs to be trained on how to flow the order of service and how to work the room to produce a successful event. Apart from that, the food was ok, but the views and the facility itself are worth it. 100%, maybe hire your own serving crew and bring an outside caterer if you're allowed to. Lighting was great. Ambiance was just right. Man, the servers tonight just really just didn't know what they were doing, and the food came out cold every time. Not one course was hot. Everything was cold.
Where should I start, I had a very bad experience with Palm Terrace, in the beginning they led you to believe you would have a great time and that they would deliver an expectional service. But after receiving your money it was a different ball game. My original time was 5pm to 10p, couple days before my birthday party I asked if I could change the time from 5pm to 6pm to 11pm. That would make it the same 5 hours. I was told no, because at 11pm they would charge $20,000 plus tax per hour. Okay I declined such proposal, because I think that was beyond ridiculous, I wasn't asking for more time. I was just asking for the time change and it would still make it 5 hours. A few days before my event I was promised that the venue would be clean and linens tables chairs would be ready available on the day of my birthday party which is May 10th, my decorator arrived to begin the decorations and to our surprise the place was disgusting still remains dirty lizards were running around. The workers were not be helpful, few times I have be going back and forth asking for the linens and keeping asking for their assistance, while they sit and chatting. Kim the event coordinator, kept coming back and forth in the room while we're trying to get the room prepared, let us feeling uncomfortable. She should be in her office not in the room been an inspector body guard. I think that was a bit much. 10:10pm she rushed into the room stood and just looked on me, that an indicator that I need to end the party. I did just that, now time to count the utensil, Kim claims 36 each were missing, okay I told her when we were setting up the tables forks were missing. She claimed the right amount was given, so I said to her how you want me to believe that the right amount were delivered to me, but she not believing that the forks were missing. Anyway the morning of May 11th, I returned to the venue to collect my refund or I thought I would at least got some of my refund back. I was told by Kim that now 81 pieces of the untensils were missing. And that I would get back my refund. I was beyond pissed off. Even that same morning of May 11th, before returning back to the venue, she sent my two pictures showing how my catering people throw curry on a piece of the culbut/wall. The night of the event after at closing she wanted us to clean up the venue. Then my question were is your workers, what do I paid for. After I paid so much money to rent venue. I received nothing but horrible disgusting service their costumer service is not up to standard all they care about is your money. They don't give a shit about nothing else. I would never ever in my life recommended Palm Terrace to absolutely no one. They're beyond horrible, they nicpicking on everything just to keep your deposit. And Kim you kept my deposit hope it makes you and your Boss and Palm terrace richer, you people are a bunch of thieves. I'm sure this not the first you all do this, just to keep people deposit. The only thing I liked about the place is the view. But the customer service is beyond horrible and disgusting. Hopefully you all will learn to treat people right whenever they choose to spend their money with you all. And stop trying to beat people out of their hard earnings. Yes your customer service were absolutely horrible.. And I'm beyond sorry to ever spend my money with your establishment.. But in life you live and learn. That not everything is glitter are gold. NEVER NEVER AGAIN, I WOULDN'T EVEN RECOMMEND MY DOG TO PALM TERRACE.
I recently had the pleasure of hosting my 40th birthday party at the Palm Terrace Villa in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and it was an unforgettable experience! The location of the villa overlooking the airport, sea, and mountains was absolutely stunning and made for a perfect backdrop for photos. The property itself was well-maintained and exuded luxury from every corner. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure that everything was taken care of. Despite not staying overnight, I was able to fully enjoy the facilities and all that the Palm Terrace Villa had to offer. The staff even provided us with a complimentary tour of the property, highlighting all the amenities that could be enjoyed during an overnight stay. Overall, my experience at the Palm Terrace Villa was exceptional. I was blown away by the beauty of the property, the warm and attentive staff, and the overall level of service provided. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking to host a special event or just wanting to experience a luxurious getaway in Montego Bay.
