Caution!! DO NOT USE FOR INTERNET! They will raise your prices and when your service fails they cancel your appointment for the tech to come out without notification. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Problem was escalated and no one seems to care. They just say "make a new appointment days away!" Caution!!!

I've had Kinetic fiber internet for about 7 years now as it was the first ISP to offer service in my neighborhood when the neighborhood was first being built. Whenever the internet is working, the speed is very fast and stable. However, if anything goes wrong - it is an entirely different story as it is a smaller company than other ISPs and the customer service is poor. Windstream recently left me without internet from February 19th - February 26th as it was the soonest they could get a technician to come out to repair the connection. A very short 9 days later, the internet is back to being out for no apparent reason - and this time the soonest they can get a tech to come out and repair it is 5 days from now. 14 days in under a month without internet service. No credits offered, no escalation to get a tech out faster. I would advise anyone looking into this company to choose another ISP if possible unless you want to be left without internet for weeklong periods while waiting for a technician to have availability to come out and address the issue. I am grateful for the existence of Starlink, as it has been a lifesaver while dealing with this company.

VERY SAD EXCUSE FOR SERVICE PROVIDER. After 30 YEARS of DEDICATED ON-TIME PAYMENTS, my Aunt was forced to switch to a different company all because wind stream wanted to schedule her 9 days out for service connection problems!! She had been struggling with connectivity issues for a while and then one day it just completely stopped working. She called and reported multiple times over a 3 day period, yet their idea of a valued customer is another 9 days away. She has been working from home since 2020 and her job requires intensive computer skills and money management. Apparently, windstream felt that they had gotten enough money out of her and her loyalty meant nothing! In 30 years Im sure she has paid for quite a few of their yachts, planes, and limos. You're NOTHING but a number to these jerks. They do not care about your loyalty or your hard earned $$$$$.

I have never experienced such horrible business practices! If there is anyone else in your area, please choose them! Anyone will be better than Windstream!!! I requested service and here it is 2 months later and still have no service!! Deplorable business!

Windstream (seemingly) joins the AI Revolution. Door-to-door sales folks still ignore no-soliciting signage. However, today they timed it to ring the doorbell and make my dog go nuts when my newborn wasn't napping (thankfully). In the past these knocks (ignoring my posted request for no soliciting) have occurred during my son's nap, so they must've started using some sort've Big Data trained ML model to guess when it would not be the end of the world to ignore your wishes to not be sold their inferior internet service. This feels like an odd use of AI. I maybe would've just generated a metric ton of copy about "internet service in city_name" to boost myself in googles ranking system instead of using it to predict infant sleeping patterns so I could continue to have bright and driven folks waste their potential walking door to door selling people a worse version of something they already have, but that's just me.

I am really disappointed in Windstream. I have taken off two days to get service. The first day they said they didn't have access to the pole which was understandable. Today i have been home all day waiting and he said he did not have access. No text, no phone call or anything. Was he even at the right address? I'm really irritated before I even get service.

I recently contacted Windstream to inquire about their home internet service, and I strongly advise others to proceed with caution. The customer service representative I spoke with was unprofessional, condescending, and dishonest. When I provided my address to check service availability, it took at least 10 minutes, during which he made exasperated sighs and other noises. After finally checking, he informed me that I would need a satellite dish to receive internet service at my location. When I questioned this, he insisted it was the only option for internet at my address. This claim was false. My daughter, who lives next door, has home internet service through her cell phone company, not a hotspot. The representative then inaccurately stated that her service was a hotspot, which he claimed would barely allow basic internet use. This is simply not true, as her service supports multiple devices, including Rokus, tablets, and laptops, and is unlimited. I also use my phone's hotspot to run numerous devices without issues. It's disheartening to see how quickly and easily some representatives will lie to make a sale. If you're considering Windstream, be aware of the potential for misinformation and poor customer service. ---

This company robbed me of over $250. They said I had a limit on my account. I didn't even know I could put a limit on how much money they could take in auto pay. I figured they would take what it costs. So all of a sudden they tell me I owe them $120! Then they charged me for a reconnection fee even though it was never disconnected. They are dishonest thieves and I swear on the Bible I'm telling the truth.
