GREAT TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE! Called at 1:00 pm because couldn't connect to Cloud Server-where all my company's client files are. Cloud Server company couldn't fix the problem without help from Rockbound's Ross T., who made a "house call" to our company within 2 hours and stayed until after 5pm collaborating to fix the Remote connection. Knowledgeable. Professional.Time sensitive. Understood the need. Hire Rockbound. Great Midcoast resource.

Located conveniently in Thomaston on Route 1, this computer sales and service center is a greatly needed computer and communication service company. When I discovered it, it became my go-to for computer service and sales. They can't carry a large inventory of specialty peripherals because that would require a warehouse, but they do have many common item. They have several used / reconditioned laptops and deck pc's. They have several service repair stations and a knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend this company.

I brought in a pretty old generation iMac computer with a bunch of issues with the hard drive and some very important data. The folks at rockbound all of them Noah in particular, did a really fabulous job for me resurrecting a computer that was really badly crashed. I strongly recommend these folks. They're friendly, efficient knowledgeable and really work with you. The price is very fair too. All in all and overall I was thrilled and I don't usually write reviews but there you have it.

Worked with Noah and Ross on having my older Asus computer files removed and stored on a newer Think Pad . Mother board on the Asus laptop connection was bad and I was unable to power unit up . Wasn't worth paying for new motherboard. They did a good job of saving my stuff and putting it on the other laptop.

Poor service, had to take my computer somewhere else.

Recently, I found myself in need of a SATA cable, and not surprisingly, larger stores like Walmart and Staples did not have any in stock. I discovered Rockbound Computer during my search and decided to give them a call. They confirmed they had the cable, so I headed over to pick it up. Given that Rockbound is a local store, I was prepared to pay a premium, assuming that they couldn't compete with Amazon's pricing. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the cable was only five dollars. I had braced myself for a price tag of at least $10, maybe even $15, considering the local store's overhead, which is understandable. While I was there, I took a quick look around and noticed a large assortment of cables from StarTech--a well-known brand recognized for making high-quality products--as well as various adapters. They also stocked computer power supplies, an item that often needs immediate replacement and can be hard to find locally. I highly recommend Rockbound Computer to anyone in need of computer parts, or even whole computers. It's worth checking them out first before looking elsewhere.
