Record Box Loft

Tucked away in a picturesque corner of Battle Creek overlooking the Kalamazoo River is Record Box Loft. From the second you walk in the front door and are greeted by Hannah or Brooke you will fall in love with this venue. They will answer any and every question you throw at them with honesty and great detail. When it is advertised that they will help you set up for the wedding and coordinate day-of items and timeline, that is such an understatement. They decorated immaculately and thoughtfully with all of the items I brought and took the lead so that I could focus on hair, makeup, and getting dressed. They even setup my DIY cocktail hour snacks and dessert table. The way Brooke led the rehearsal alleviated a lot of stress as well - she took control without being pushy or overbearing at any point. She made the entire bridal party and family feel at ease and ready for the big occasion. In addition to the AMAZING staff, the building has so much personality and charm that having buckets of decorations is really not necessary. Hannah keeps a large number (60?) of plants healthy as some natural decor that really livens up the space and makes the early 1900s building feel contemporary and timeless at the same time. We were able to book this venue when a sale was running so it ended up being a phenomenal price. I cannot overstate what a hidden gem this venue is and what an amazing value it is. I had always wanted a garden wedding but due to the time of year, my event had to be indoors. I did not miss the idea of a garden wedding AT ALL. And, there was no worry of inclement weather. Seriously - book this venue TODAY! You will not be disappointed. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the entire experience (and I have high expectations). I was just married at Record Box in April 2025 and would recommend it to anyone.

We had the most incredible experience at The Record Box Loft! From start to finish, the venue coordinators were amazing to work with. They were responsive, easy to communicate with, and always quick to return my emails. They were also super flexible, allowing me to take full control of the table layout for our reception. One of the biggest perks was that they handled all of the decor setup and teardown--I only needed a few family members to help unload and reload at the elevator, which made the entire process stress-free. The venue also provided two gorgeous getting-ready suites, which were such a great addition to our day. These spaces were perfect for our wedding party to relax, get ready, and have a private place to stay hidden away before the ceremony. Additionally, The Record Box Loft offers a dedicated cocktail hour space, allowing guests to head downstairs while the main area is flipped from ceremony to reception. This made for such a seamless transition and gave us a moment to take everything in before the reception started! The in-house bar was another huge highlight! The drink packages and cocktail selections were fantastic, and I loved that they let me rename my signature drinks to "Something Old" and "Something New." The bartenders were not only skilled but also fun and attentive, keeping our guests happy all night. Beyond the amazing service, the venue itself was absolutely stunning. It sits right next to the river, making it a perfect backdrop for couples' portraits, wedding party shots, and family photos. I've received endless compliments on how beautiful both the building and the decor were. Another highlight of the night was the photo booth! It was a huge hit with our guests, who had so much fun taking photos and GIFs together. Some even got into the props and took themed pictures, which made for some great memories! It was truly the perfect setting for our special day. If you're looking for a wedding venue that is both breathtaking and incredibly well-run, I cannot recommend The Record Box Loft enough!

Our experience having our wedding at Record Box Loft was all we had wanted it to be! All aspects of our wedding went well, in no small part from the assistance from the staff day of in preparing various parts of the date. Clean-up was easy and discrete, and the set-up between all went well and looked great! The staff was easy to work with, and the venue itself looked great and fit the atmosphere we wanted for our wedding date.

We are SO happy we chose Record Box Loft for our wedding venue!!! We got so many compliments on the venue from guests! It was so naturally beautiful we felt like we didn't need a ton of decor and let the space speak for itself. The space outside is just as beautiful and there were several gorgeous places to take photos just outside the venue! It was also reasonably priced for what was provided - tables, chairs, linens, some decor, set up and tear down of the ceremony and reception space/personal decor, and a day of coordinator. Hannah, our day of coordinator, was truly the sweetest and had everything covered for us for a seamless and stress free experience on the day of our wedding. She thought of several small details we would have forgotten during the planning process, and coordinated our rehearsal as well, so my husband and I, as well as our bridal party, felt prepared for the big day :-) I would recommend Record Box Loft to anyone planning a wedding!

**One of the best days of my life happened here!** Where to start? This venue has it all. An accommodating staff, beautiful architecture, well-lit interiors, an extremely cool downstairs cocktail lounge, and it's located right in historic downtown Battle Creek. The architecture of the venue itself is so inviting, that even with minimal decorations, it feels magical inside. Hannah, the venue manager, from the very start went right to work making our Wedding day come to life. During the initial tour she helped us brainstorm decorations, the order of our ceremony, seating arrangements, and even offered helpful advice from her experience of previous events that she had coordinated at venue. Without her insight, the vision for our special day would have definitely taken much longer to solidify. In the months leading up to the wedding, Hannah kept in close contact with us and answered questions, kept us on track for the date, and also keep track of our coordination with event vendors. Then, come the day of our wedding, Hannah jumped right in and started helping us assemble our decorations, keep us on our timeline for the day, coordinate with our MC and vendors, and made sure our ceremony happened without a hitch! All throughout, she was genuinely excited to make our day the best it could possibly be, and even personally decorated our head table for the reception! When it came time to leave, the venue staff had all of our decorations packed up so quickly and efficiently, we were honestly blown away. Without any hyperbole, Hannah and her staff made our wedding day feel so special that I can say with certainty, one of the best days of my life happened at Record Box Loft.

I wish I could give Record Box Loft more than 5 stars! They were incredibly helpful and our wedding day would not have been as amazing as it was without them. The gorgeous building is what caught our attention, but the staff is truly what sold us on this venue. Everyone was so helpful during the whole wedding process and really seemed to genuinely care about our vision and what we wanted our wedding day to be like. We mostly worked with Brooke, and she was wonderful! She set up my decor so beautiful, I could not have imagined it better. They really made sure we were able to enjoy the wedding (and the night before) by not having to worry about setting up and tearing down decor. Our friends and family gave us many compliments about how nice and helpful the staff was! I would recommend anyone to get married at RBL!!

Wow! Such a beautiful venue, we are so glad we chose this site for our daughter's wedding. Gorgeous interior, beautiful outdoor location, the staff was AMAZING (Brooke and Hannah did a super job coordinating our day), the selfie station was so much fun. Just everything was perfect, we loved our daughter's special day!

We can't speak highly enough of the Record Box Loft team for such an amazing experience. They had excellent communication with us throughout the wedding planning process and made everything go smoothly the day of. Brooke is a fantastic coordinator who helped make our wedding vision a reality and we are so so glad we had our wedding here!
