The WORST customer experience I've encountered. I had there Internet Service which was working ok. But starting in January 2025 I found a device that was causing data overages. Other providers like Verizon notify you via email or text to let you know and give you options. Not Mediacom... all I got was some cryptic popup on my Browser with no details as to WHO IT WAS FROM stating I went over my limit. Note if you had a popup blocker this wouldn't show up. I let customer service know. Instead of being of help, they gaslighted me telling me that it was my fault and maybe they didn't have the right email address. Even though I called them because I got an EMAIL with my statement SHOWING the overage. After canceling the account it took more calls. They charged me for the "final" overage despite the servicing agent telling me it was canceled. The FEDEX Equipment Return Label was not generated until 10 days after I canceled my account. It finally arrived and I packed up my equipment and sent it back. I purposely took photos, kept all emails, mailed items and had FedEx tracking and USPS evidence. Because I didn't trust them Then I got a statement from them stating I owed over $500 for the equipment which is BS. It took me 2 months of back and forth to get this all canceled, finalized, etc. Mediacom and XTreme need to wake up, do a total makeover or they need to go out of business.

I'm glad I'm in the middle of moving, set up an installation, and they cancel my appointment and don't notify me about it. Great start to a 2 year lock in price. "Best we can do is a 20 dollar credit and put you on the high priority list"

How this is company still in business is still a mystery. Probably the most garbage company I have had to deal with. It has been 2 months, 9 trips by technicians and countless calls and escalations and still no resolution of my internet issues. Today some random contractors came over to bury a cable, without any prior notice and now my internet is gone. Called their customer service three times and they told me they can't send anyone over to fix my internet service, something their own damn technicians caused. I mean I have seen thieves more honest than these people. Have had enough of them and will just cancel the service.

Not much is to be said just look at the picture literally what the actual lazy is going on three extreme trucks and all three workers doing nothing at all maybe it's just me. I don't know.

Comically bad customer service. The app is unusable, obviously intentionally designed to make you just give up. Then the service is intermittent and hardly ever at the speed you pay for. Why in earth do we allow monopolies like this to exist? If you have another ISP option use it. Sadly I don't. Total GARBAGE.

Provider was servicing a neighbor. They installed the line outside of any utility easement. Upon stopping the work - damage claims were filed. Following up on communication - the damage claim was closed on their end without resolution. We are refiling. They will not give us a contact to address the matter civilly and we are resulting to posting on here and creating our own crumb trail.

Horrible customer service, horrible process to get this internet. They cancelled my appointment without notice and now I have to wait another week for them to come out. With no explanation of what happened or why, they never even sent a refund after they cancelled my installation appointment!!!

Extremely unprofessional and irresponsible company, please read this before you place order with them. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I thought Xfinity was bad this is worse. I am all about supporting small business but man this is the worst people I have ever dealt with. I requested internet connection in my home, they took a week to confirm that the service is available. They called me back a week later to let me know that the service is available and placed an order. The customer service rep (had no knowledge of anything) didn't know the difference between fiber and coaxial plans and how they work and couldn't answer my question. She kept insisting that I need to rent or buy a modem and I couldn't understand why, but I placed an order since I needed internet. A week later, the guy shows up at my house to tell me they need a few more days for them to make the area serviceable because they apparently do not service the area yet. This guy was friendly, and he explained why modem is required, it is because they bring the fiber to the house and covert it to coaxial cable, defeating the entire purpose of fiber. I think they are doing this so that they can rent out the modem and make extra money. Three days later a very mean lady calls me and instead of giving me time when the internet will be connected, she tells me that if I want their internet I have to pay out of my pocket for them to make the area serviceable, and it is going to be a significant amount of money I had to pay them so that I can buy their service. She was very unprofessional, mean and quite frankly didn't care to explain or even talk like a human. Her point was mediacome decided not to invest in serving this area because of whatever. Then she transferred me to customer service, who was friendly and cancelled my order. So basically 4 weeks cycle for all of this all the time wasted while I spend extra on over the air internet and their response at the end is they don't care, it is my fault that they made the mistake of keeping me waiting for a month.
