Do not sign up with adt they will screw you over, their equipment is trash, does not work in cold weather, cannot get a tech out here till after our 6 months so now we cannot cancel our services. We are still waiting for someone to call us to fix the email address so we cannot even get into our account online. Do not get scammed by this company like we did. Well I would like to give an update. Thursday 1/16/25 Chad called to see if they could come earlier on 1/20/25 or if there was a cancellation on 1/17/25, told him yes. Appointment email was sent to change to 8-12. A tech was supposed to come out today on 1/20/25 from 8-12 at 12 the tech was not here, called ADT in Shoreview a nice lady contacted the tech said he would be here at 1. I asked that he call if he was running late well guess what no phone call. Now no one can come till 2/3/25 after 6 month money back guarantee. What a lie, now we are screwed and stuck with equipment that is trash and will have to pay until the contract is up for a service that won't work. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH ADT THEY WILL ONLY SCREW YOU OVER
This company is a joke!!!!! We ahve had problems from day one, we were able to get one service call in this time. As we are told repeatedly different lies. They are too booked, they only do appointments on Mondays, they can only schedule appoiuntments when its 2 months out. Took the day off as we were told our appointment was wscheduled and confirmed between 8-12 today. At noon, we called to be told that our tech is running an hour behind (no update given), when I called at 1:30, still no tech, and no available time when the tech can show today. II told them that I need to reschedule and she said she was unable to do that and had to get with a coordinator to schedule the service call. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY.
I have been trying to get my security system fixed for over 6 months. Every appointment gets rescheduled. Nobody can help me but they sure can take my money. If you own a small business try anything else. They cannot secure you.
A representative of this company stopped by my house to sell the service to me. I expressed I wasn't interested in changing my security options. After expressing this multiple times I closed my screen and proceeded to end things as the aggressive approach to keep trying to sale the product was absolutely absurd. He finally decided to leave after calling me a Karen. To be clear the definition of a Karen is: "Karen is a pejorative term used as slang for a middle-class white woman who is perceived as entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is normal". I am a black woman who made clear I wasn't interested in changing my service. Not once, but three times before choosing to end the aggressive sale tactics that was occurring on my property. His behavior was gross, disrespectful, out of line and if he is who the company is using as a representative I'm even further glad I'm not interested in changing security options, especially with ADT. I warn that people be careful, these type of aggressive sales reps are concerning in more ways than one.
They did a horrible job putting my cameras. I can't see half of my store. They asked to fix it and did not show up the first day. The next time they insisted that I need to be there even though they were told what was wrong by there sales manager
Terrible service not the technician is tge service they rise 60 dollars to 122.00 in less than 3 month if you try disarmed the system in your panel don't work and the police come to your house charging money for false alarm
We had an ADT system and then later added two Nest cameras, a water sensor, and water shut off valve. They forgot the valve on the first visit, installed a recalled valve on the second visit, installed a good valve on the third visit but cannot connect it to the app, and they just postponed todays service call because two techs called in sick. I've spent hours on the phone with ADT and employees who have never dealt with a water valve before. Horrible customer service.
I've tried to cancel 3x. Now I have 2 accounts and no one seems to know how to cancel either of them, and an appointment for additional equipment. Service was good but the associates is the reason I'm leaving them. Too difficult to deal with plus some are dishonest and will place orders on your account without your permission.
