MacFie House

The MacFie House is always very clean, very quiet, and very relaxing! It is in the perfect location! Close enough to walk to local restaurants and pubs, yet far enough that it's very quiet and peaceful. If you're looking for a great place to spend a weekend, look no further. This is the one!

I really liked a lot of things about this house. It is beautiful. So pretty, and well decorated. There were a lot of coffee and tea options. They even had a decaf coffee that uses mountain water to make it decaffeinated. I won't drink the kind that uses chemical extraction. I was impressed. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the smell. They put these air freshener things all over. There was even one outside the bedroom. Maybe just limit them to one living room and the kitchen if you must have them. It isn't good for people who get migraines or are sensitive the scents. Otherwise, it was a perfect experience and I highly recommend !

Loved our stay at MacFie House! Our room was clean and the bed/bedding was super comfortable. We couldn't hear other guest so it was nice and private. It was walkable to restaurants and coffee shops. We will definitely come again.

Explored Cape Girardeau with another couple and booked two rooms. The house is just beautiful, beds are comfortable, Alyssa was lovely to deal with. We fixed drinks and snacks in kitchen, played games and visited in the common areas and front porch. There are multiple restaurants and bars, shops, and antique stores close by, and of course the river and the casino. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

We rented the whole house for an event and had guests stay in all the rooms. It was so cozy and cute there plus it was just a short walk to Broadway for dinner and drinks at some of the best Cape restaurants. Our host was accommodating and friendly. We would definitely recommend staying here over nearby hotels. Thanks so much!

We hosted an 80th birthday party there today. It was so beautiful! The service was amazing! The home itself is simply breathtaking, reminiscent of a place I stayed in Ireland. Thank you Alyssa and Lindsay! It was perfect for a family party!!

A wonderful old 1890s home that has gobs of character. The place is well-done, the little touches like quality soaps, linens are great. It's a short walk to the downtown riverfront scene. I'll definitely be back.

The bed was really comfy (and I have back problems), the spa tub was big enough for me and my partner, and the location was perfect for walking to main street for dinner or ice cream!
