Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Fairly centrally located, refurbished hotel in a part of Jeff City with several restaurants, retailers, and outdoor activities/parks within a 5 min. drive. Less than 10 min. drive to downtown/Missouri Capitol where there's even more history and places to see and enjoy. Fairfield is primarily quiet, but I had neighbors in my 3rd floor hallway who were more excited to be awake late than I was. Otherwise, the stay was enjoyable, clean and quiet. My room was particularly clean and tidy. Had a small microwave oven, and a mini-fridge about 3 feet tall which was a nice convenience. I sleep much better when cool & air conditioner went down to 60deg which was sufficient. Bed firm but soft enough. Pillows did not flatten out under my resting head, but were full & comfortable. I appreciate a Gideons Bible in my room & sweet to get in God's Word before bed. Small desk area allowed me to complete work & mini closet is enough. Restroom also clean, bright, and with an exhaust fan that maintains good ventilation when you shower. Indoor pool on first floor was warm enough & room was heated. Gym is quite compact with a rack of dumbbells, a treadmill and an elliptical. It's adequate for 3 people and I got to take turns with another guest as we both were lifting weights. Breakfast was served at 6, and included a pretty extensive variety of hot and cold foods as well as some you could take for later in the morning or have a satisfying breakfast in the dining area. All in all, aside from hearing the wind outside my window much of the night, this was a nice stay near the Capitol Mall in Jefferson City, and the breakfast was a nice highlight. Cleaning staff did an excellent job and front desk team was also very kind.
Not an awful hotel overall, but i was woken up every morning i stayed at 6 AM sharp by hammering, furniture moving, and other loud noises in the rooms above and around me. Very thin walls, was able to hear people walking in the hallway at all times. Additionally, i would see housekeeping cleaning rooms or at least in the hallway, at all times of the day, anywhere from 7 AM to after midnight. I don't know if this is due to staffing shortages, but made for a very strange stay.
Decent hotel but our room smelled like old, musty mop water! The front desk person gave us some spray and maintenence came up and sprayed but every time you entered the room, the scent was overpowering! The breakfast options weren't much to speak about and the only yogurt that they had was Chobani Greek yogurt, which I'm not a fan of. There was a gentleman ( I think his name was Steven- he was on the Night shift) who was extremely outgoing and attentive to all guests needs! I watched him with other guests as I awaited my turn and he was really great!! Around this hotel are plenty of places to eat and shop. There's also a grocery store within a mile as well, which is always nice. Great water pressure in the shower and the hot water was good too. If it weren't for the smell of the room, this would've been a great stay!
UPDATE - INTERNET DOWN FOR 5TH CONSECUTIVE DAYS. EVEN A MOTEL WOULDN'T BE THIS BAD WITH RESPECT TO INTERNET .... We are out of internet since Sunday evening and it's still being fixed. HOPELESS ... Being part of Marriot, this is a shame and I came down here for work because of this issue, I am stretching in client office for sbout 12 hrs and all my personal tasks are left behind ... Burning my moble data to make ends meet, hopeless will never return and going to flag with corporate office as well ...
They offered complementary breakfast , but the products low quality, coffee are badly and everytime was cold, they have a container with ice and water, but it have a weird flavor.the room was clean and smell good ,y favorite thing was the shower is so nice, clean and modern.the night reception man is so polite and kind, but the girls in morning not
We had to change our reservations 3 times due to a family emergency. Every time I called the staff was very kind and helpful. We weren't charged for the changes. Then, after we arrived, we had to extend our stay and again they were helpful and made sure we had a room. Rooms are very small with no where for sitting comfortably. The breakfast buffet was nice. We really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy.
Checked in while on military duty. When I got to the room and realized not only was it handicap accessible the floor was coming up. I asked if I could change rooms due to safety/infection risk and was told no. They also charged $200 cancelation fee. Staff were unhelpful. Lobby was loud. Parking situation was tight. I had to park at the back of an unlit parking lot.
Worked perfect for us for a one night stay! This location is near the mall and easy to find. Lobby was clean, indoor pool was standard, breakfast was good but typical and the room was perfect for what we needed. Thanks for a nice stay!
