Acumen Studio

This is such a disappointing task for me to take time out of my day to do, but I am frustrated, discouraged, and angry. In August of 2024, John sent out an email with an offer to make a new website for a special price of $2,850. I responded to this email, and he promptly emailed me over an agreement that I signed. Several days later while I was on vacation, he began texting me about the payment agreement so that he could collect payment. I apologized, and upon my vacation return, I immediately signed the payment agreement. On August 19, 2024, John ran my card in the amount of $2,850. Since then, nothing has been done. Over 2 months after I paid, John emailed me with a- "So sorry, thought this went out already", where he asked me to pick my website template. I did this. In January, I began to become concerned and started to email, call, and text him. John only ever responded once, in March, apologizing that he missed the emails and asked about setting up a time to meet. I responded immediately about doing so, and he has never responded. Since then, I have made repeated attempts to contact him, even directly on Instagram and commenting on an Instagram post, which has has since deleted. I have time and time again asked for my money back and he has not responded to me. To be clear, again, John ran my card in the amount of $2,850 and has done absolutely no work since August of 2024; it is now May of 2025. This is theft, and I fully plan on recouping my money. I am hopeful that this Google review elicits a response from him, and that he gives me back my money so that I can have my website redone. I can only assume judging by others' reviews that he was short on cash, put out an email blast in hoping to get some quick money (provided that he texted me several times asking that I pay while I was on vacation), and clearly has no intention of doing the work. This is repulsive business behavior. I would expect this out of larger company, but not a fellow, local small business owner. I cannot in good faith ever, under any circumstances, recommend him for his professional services. John, after you read this, give me my money back that you took. You have not provided any services and I have no intention of working with you. If you fail to pay me back, I WILL be taking legal action.

We have a service based business and needed an easy way to get more content online that would get us more business. It needed to not be overly expensive (less than hiring an employee) and it needed to work. We found Acumen Studio online and what their website said looked to be exactly what we needed. Within a few weeks we were kicking off with them and have never looked back. The process has been easy, the content is good and we are getting more leads than we ever have in the past (even when we had a full time marketing person).

We engaged with them on a contract to create content, run ads and do lead generation to bring in new prospective investors. It has been a very successful program and we highly recommend using them.

When we first decided to sign on with Acumen we were getting about 2 leads per month. We didn't know if that was good or bad but we wanted more. Shortly after they started doing their work we have been consistently getting between 45 and 65 leads every month. Way more than we were getting before and more than we thought we'd get working with them. Happy to say we are very pleased.

We started looking for someone who could help us on social media, but quicky realized after talking to a number of social media consultants and agencies that we didn't need just that. What we really wanted was new business and thought social media was how we'd get it. Long story short we found Acumen online when searching for a digital marketing agency that focused on getting leads. When we first spoke with their team we knew instantly they were the right fit for us. Very smart and knowledgeable. They were able to create the content and do the optimizations that have generated more leads and new customers which grows every month. We love working with them and highly recommend.

Acumen was able to create different content for our site and social media that kept us in front of new customers and really did a good job at generating leads. There was some ad work we did as well and all of it worked. Very happy with them and their team.

Our company was looking at getting a new website because the current site wasn't getting us leads. We reached out to a handful of agencies and they were all expensive. We talked to Acumen Studio and they said that we didn't even need a new site and that the reason we weren't getting lead is because we were publishing content and didn't have an optimized website. The cost to work with them on this was way cheaper than having a new site built so we went with them. And the good news is that it worked and continues to work. We get new leads in every day and will never go back!
