Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Albert answered all of my questions promptly and got me some great used equipment for a work station away from home all for a very good price. Really appreciated all of his help and expertise in getting me just what I needed! They are super friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back for any other computer/repair needs!
I highly commend Albert Madrigal at Local Tech for his expertise, professionalism, and competitive pricing. Last week, my primary computer used for editing photography and client communications suddenly crashed during a project. Despite my best efforts over two days to resolve the issue, I was unsuccessful. A friend recommended Albert, and on Friday, May 9, 2025, I brought the computer to him. Within a few hours, Albert not only restored its functionality but also upgraded it to Windows 11--a feat previously deemed impossible. If you encounter computer issues or need an upgrade, I strongly recommend consulting Albert at Local Tech on Wyatt. E. Gary Gum, TopGumPhotography by E. Gary Gum
I almost never do reviews, but Albert and his staff at Local Tech really deserve this. If you're like me, you'll really appreciate their business model of honesty, integrity, and an obvious desire to exceed customer expectations--all at surprisingly low cost. Perhaps you have a computer that you would like to run more efficiently or an older machine that you just want to get a few more years out of? Particularly in these cases, I believe you owe it to yourself to give the good people at Local Tech a try!
Paid 200 dollars so these guys could put new password on my machine and then not give it to me. Seriously unprofessional. No communication with me while they had my device, and no communication as far as anything I may have to do to get it going once I got it home. So I got locked out of *my* 1500 dollar rig because somebody changed my password and didn't tell me. I did eventually get it fixed with a phone call, but not telling me, "hey by the way, you have a new password and will have to change it, it's xyz" would have saved me about an hour of headache. C'mon guys.
My HDMI port on my Xbox series X broke but Albert and his guys at Local tech said... no problem and got it fixed. I've seen videos on the extent of a job like this and it's not easy and also very complex but these guys at Local tech are the real deal thank you guys so much I definitely recommend Local Tech for electronic repairs. ... here's another 5 star review for the track record!
I called Local Tech when my computer died. Albert answered the phone quickly, John the tech came out quickly. He took the desk top back to the shop & replaced the power unit thing. Computer back to me all cabled up, good as new, the next day. $1,000 saved. WAY better than the " Big Box Squad". Big Box does have nicer uniforms, the Local Tech people have a Steve Jobs type uniform
Awesome Guy, great service and tech support. I highly recommend this company for all you computer needs. as a costumer i am very very pleased with my computer.
I hate to leave a negative review, but I feel I need to share my experience. I initially visited Local Tech in December 2024 for a small PC upgrade--specifically, a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM to support my 2070 Super GPU, which I hoped would save me some money. While I have some tech experience (currently studying Computer Science and having built two PCs), I'm still fairly new to working with BIOS and ensuring components are compatible. First, I want to acknowledge that the staff at Local Tech were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. The cost for their consultation was about $108 with taxes included, which seemed reasonable at the time. Here's where things went south. After diagnosing my PC, the technician believed the issue was with my 2070 Super GPU and suggested replacing it to resolve the problem. I was present while the technician worked, and he swapped his own GPU into my system, which allowed it to boot into BIOS. However, here's the first problem: The technician spent a significant amount of time running benchmarks and stress tests. While doing this, he also attempted to install Star Citizen on my PC--something I still don't understand the purpose of, as it seemed unrelated to diagnosing my issue. After a lot of back and forth, I was convinced (despite my doubts) that the GPU needed replacing. Here's the second issue: When I went to leave, I noticed the technician was acting strangely, as if he was hiding my 2070 Super from me. As a former military police officer, I'm fairly observant, and my gut told me something wasn't right. He insisted the GPU was broken, though I still wasn't convinced. Fast forward--after getting a new GPU, the system still wouldn't boot, not even to BIOS. I ended up going to MDC Technology, where they quickly determined that my PC was running on a beta BIOS (my mistake for not double-checking the version) and that Windows 10 was causing conflicts with the hardware. They recommended upgrading to Windows 11 and suggested increasing my SSD storage from 1TB to 2TB, as I was running low on space. The worst part? When I shared my experience with MDC, they informed me that my 2070 Super was perfectly fine--exactly as I had suspected. MDC even thought that perhaps the technician at Local Tech was trying to get a new GPU off me. In the end, I spent far more time and money than I should have because I trusted Local Tech. Honestly, I would have been better off building a new PC myself. While MDC's services are more expensive (double the price of Local Tech's), they were professional, knowledgeable, and actually got my system up and running. They don't waste time installing random games, and they stick to the task at hand. If you're looking for quality service, I highly recommend MDC Technology over Local Tech.
