I have never been sold terrified my life than the services I am receiving from SS. I think the greatest undoing of Google to have sold their domain services to SS. I have been struggling for over 7 weeks to get authentication code to move my domains without success. Customer services is Nill. All efforts to solve my issues always returns me to the same situation like a recurring decimal. I wish impacted clients could organize a class action lawsuit again them

This service is a joke, been weeks and still no web site up "under construction check back later" but they had no problem charging my acount for the year and my domain name. went to their help line and they wanted me to fill out a credit card form to charge me to fix what they haven't even done yet. Run don't walk away from this company. Working on getting my money back. Would have put 0 stars if i could.

No clue why Google gave them their domain services. Worthless and most stupid company ever. Unlike at Google domains, here you can't update payments for domains and process. You have to add a general payment method if you're having to replace your original one for whatever reason to and then pray they will process later. Plus many links are simply broken. And good luck thinking you can speak with anyone. They hide like the cowards they are.

I deeply regret choosing Squarespace for my website. I purchased their Business Plan on January 28, 2025, paying for a full year upfront, expecting to receive the business email included in the plan. However, despite 7-8 support requests, this issue remains unresolved. What's worse is their lack of customer support and accountability. I've requested a refund for February's service fees three times, but they completely ignored my requests. Instead of solving the problem, they asked me to stop sending support requests--which is beyond frustrating. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere if you're looking for reliable service and decent customer support. Update 12/2/2025 Review Reply by Jenny Thank you for your response. However, I have already spent a significant amount of time trying to resolve my issues, and your reply does not offer a concrete solution. I need clear answers on the following points: 1 February Credit - I expect my 12-month plan to be extended to 13 months as promised. 2 Business Email Access - I need to use my business email for my operations, and this issue is delaying my work. 3 Direct Contact Information - Please provide a direct customer service email and phone number where I can get real assistance. I am frustrated by the lack of effective support. Please escalate this matter and provide a definite timeline for resolution. I need an answer as soon as possible.

I should have read the reviews before going through SquareSpace for a Google Workspace and domain name. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. They don't listen or care to learn about problems because they hide behind their chat support and email and refuse to have a phone conversation with customers. And because of that, I plan on submitting a formal review to BBB and state that this is company is incompetent and refuses to actually HELP the customer. One of, if not the worst, customer service experiences I have ever had. Pleased to say I will be transferring my domain name and anything I have related to SquareSpace OUT and far away from this company. And if this post is seen and SqareSpace responds... ha! I could care less about what you can "offer" me to make things right. Add a phone line support number and MAYBE I'd accept the apology you should give. EDIT: Just as predicted, SS tried to respond with an apology, but still didn't fix the problem. Maybe they should reevaluate how the connect with customers outside of chat and email. Many issues can be resolved with a simple phone call. Crazy how they can't figure that out.

These price hikes feel arbitrary and out of touch with industry standards. It's disappointing to see a company prioritize profit margins over customer loyalty and transparency. For those looking to register a domain or manage their website affordably, I strongly recommend exploring alternative providers. Squarespace's pricing does not reflect the value it delivers, and there are better, more cost-effective solutions available.

After 6 weeks of email support I now have/had domains being hosted at Squarespace I can't recover. BEWARE of this company! The transfer from Google Domains to Squarespace has cost me clients, days worth of time moving client domains and dealing with the worst support in the industry, and MONEY. I have spent 6 weeks with their horrible email support that never resolves anything. No chat, no phone support, and when you call the corporate offices in NYC the answering machine tells you go to the website and hangs up. If you are in the webservice business stay away from Squarespace. Response to owner: Thanks for the unhelpful response:-/ If you were sorry and wanted to help me you just had ANOTHER opportunity right here. It's incredible to me that you got on here to respond to this review before supporting me as your client. Instead you guide me back to your website which I've clearly described above as being completely unhelpful. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person experiencing problems. I'm transferring all my domains. I encourage anyone reading this to do the same.

Some alternate online builders actually care about their users, I suggest you use one of those. Squarespace continues to charge me because I didn't close my account the "right way." I have no hosting, websites, or other products with them. Because I closed my account, I have no path available to fix this and no one is available to help. Their FAQs are for standard issues, not mine. ***You'll see the response from Squarespace. The Contact Us page is NOT HELPFUL. Squarespace broke my email instead of helping me, and I had to close the account they were debiting $$. They didn't respond to a complaint I filed with the MO Attorney General.
