Loughlin Vineyard

Never thought of the south shore of Long Island as having amazing wine but it does! Loughlin vineyards is perfectly rustic and off the beaten path, a quick and scenic 20 min or so walk from the train for all the city people like us. The rose is amazing as is all the wine (we especially loved the merlot and Chardonnay too) but I recommend a flight to try them all and then mix it up with some glasses and bottles. We ended up staying till close and everyone in the family is so kind and sweet. We'll be back! And def want to visit in the winter for some cozy mulled wine

This is a hidden gem! If you've never been it could be a little tricky to find - careful with parking too as it's tight & limited. The property is so pretty. These pictures are from an unseasonably warm day in November. On small business Saturday, the gracious owner gave free tasting flights as a thank you for coming in & supporting her business. People like this are hard to come by these days! The wines are very good - my favorite is definitely the rose. The Chardonnay is also very good & this visit I had the mulled red wine which was a tad sweet but tasty and warm. The spring & summer is also a nice time to visit - lots of picnic tables. You can bring your own snacks or she offers some meats & cheeses. So nice to have this local winery on the south shore!

Very chill vineyard to hang out, bring food and have a picnic on a beautiful day. Wine is tasty and if you're lucky you will get live music.

We live in town so we often take a short bike ride through the trails on the lakes nearbye. Ending a fall afternoon next to a fire with a local glass of wine is tough to beat, so close in town, part of nature trails and close to Sayville RR station. Pack food if you're staying for a bit, cheese shop across from station should be first stop.

Don't waste your time. My husband and 2 kids drove all the way here from Bensonhurst, just for them not to be open. We drove 2 hours just to come here and give this establishment our money. Just for the mom of the business to tell us, "don't bother walking down, we're close, my daughter got married yesterday" I mean congratulations to your daughter but at least update your site and google, so customers are aware not to come. Definitely will not be returning.

Great low key winery with a super friendly staff. Lots of options, tasting flight, by the glass or bottle. Outdoor seating, bring your own picnic or buy some cheese and chips onsite. Looking forward to returning.

The good: wine is good. The bad : prices are little too high for a place that does not serve food, and does not allow to walk around the vines. You are confined to small strip between vines and the wall. Food can be ordered from outside. There is no view, or indoor seating.
