FOCUS Broadband

They came out to my brand new home in Leland North Carolina and installed the line into my home. It works great. I get 500 Mb download and 500 MB upload. I feel the price is reasonable. I've had the service for nearly a month now and there have not been any disruptions whatsoever. The technicians who came out to do the installation were professional and took very little time.

Focus has been great to work with. Their internet service works great and is competitively priced. Also, anyone I have talked to at Focus has been so nice. This includes the customer service rep who set up my account and the tech who came out to the house to set things up. The company is customer focused. Truly 5-Star service.

I've only been a customer for two-ish weeks and the speed is no where near the 1G paid for except on the day it was installed: Averaging 130Mbps/30Mbps off the router which is basically cable speeds though I constantly dip down to 57Mbps/6Mbps which is old school wireless speeds. I haven't even gotten my first bill but I will not be staying a customer long at this rate.

We really like Focus Broadband. Besides having fiber optic I feel like the support staff really care about helping you make great choices. They are very responsive and helpful in making the right choices and directing you to the correct people for resolution to you concerns.

I'm sorry to say that Focus Broadband has failed miserably at customer service. We were basically forced to switch over to Merge TV approximately 2 months ago. They were at my house for 4 hours. I asked them to keep the landline (just not ready to give it up) but move it from the kitchen to the home office, which they did. 4 days later, when only my husband was home, they showed up, rang the doorbell, and told my husband the landline had to be moved back to the kitchen, came in and did it. Now we're experiencing issues with every tv in our house during primetime viewing 8- 11 pm. Continuous buffering and unable to watch anything. It's been going on all week! I've been trying to contact customer service since 8:20 this morning and haven't been able to make contact. Disconnected 2x after holding for 15 minute each time. Then I requested a call back and when the call came through it was nothing but static. Called back again and held for another 35 minutes before having to give up because I ran out of time. Absolutely unacceptable for the amount of money they charge every month!

Our internet wasn't working so I called customer service but was on hold for a couple of hours without ever speaking to anyone. So, I drove the one mile it is from my house to the local Focus office, to complain. I was slightly angry when I went in but an associate named Arnell said she could help me. She explained that there was a widespread outage, and that crews were working on the repairs. She was very kind and professional, and calmed me down rather quickly. And just for the inconvenience, she gave us a 12 month discount off of our internet bill. That's true customer service and Focus Broadband is lucky to have Arnell on their team.

I have had a great experience so far. I contacted Focus about a week ago. Due to my schedule it was almost a week before they were able to get out. They contacted me within 24 hours from when I requested service. I received a phone call to confirm my installation date. The tech called me 30 mins before he arrived. Brad was on time, very friendly, and knowledgeable about what he was doing. He made sure everything worked and my electronics connected before he left. This morning I had my first workout on my VR headset. IT WAS A DREAM!!! I have not been able to workout at home since I got my Quest in August, due to poor Internet from AT&T. I will continue to do updates but for me being able to use my VR headset, not have Prime buffer constantly and have downloads seriously happen in a blink of an eye, Focus is a success.Thank you Brad for making my day and giving me back my workouts at home.
