We have been customers for nearly 20 years, and had very few issues until the past few years. We bought our own modem and shipped theirs back and was assured we would get credited the monthly modem fee once theirs was received. Tracking showed it was delivered and they charged us for 3 months after, then told us they couldn't verify it was received but would quit charging us for it. Next, we cancelled cable service as the cost kept going up and up. We turned in our equipment at the Enid office (which does stink as others have stated), and was assured by 3 different customer service agents that we would not be charged for the cable if it was prior to the billing date. Our bill came in and guess what? We were charged anyway. Called customer service and the agent was very rude and condescending. She stated that it says on the bill and on the website that they would charge unless service was cancelled 10 days PRIOR to the billing date. Neither the bill nor the website states that. We were lied to by 3 different agents and 4th was AWFUL. Called again, and although that agent was sympathetic, she could offer no solution. So now because of that interaction we are cancelling internet. If I could leave 0 stars I would.
Here we go removing channels KFOR a local channel, right in the middle of the NFL playoffs. City of enid needs to find us a more reliable cable provider.This provider totally sucks.
The people at this store were friendly and helpful to the best of their ability, even through corporate Optimum ties their hands. DON'T CHOOSE OPTIMUM, IT IS A TOTAL SCAM. The corporate is super corrupt and will find ways to try to charge you and make claims against you, even if you don't have a payment method on file.
Sadly, we began doing business with "Suddenlink", which became Optimum. No store front close, intermittent outages.... a lot. One repair visit took several days and cable strung on the ground for "years", left that way until we discontinued our service. We never did receive the full signal of up and down load megabytes as advertised. Dealing with Optimum's phone repair service was frustrating.
Dumped Optimum internet after months of failed service calls. Now only have cable. As of today 1/11/25 we now no longer have all the channels if it is connected to Nexstar!! Ok I live in Oklahoma & a news /weather channel can mean life or death by tornado. Not to mention I'm paying a high price for service I'm now not receiving. Guess dumping cabel next !!!
We called to disconnect our service and were told to return our equipment to disconnect. We went to the store to return our equipment and were told we needed to call in and disconnect in order to return our equipment. The woman at the store refused to accept our equipment or help us get connected with a representative to disconnect our service. She was extremely unhelpful and very rude with a terrible attitude.
I went to the Optimum store hoping to cancel my service and return my router - the same way I started my service - but it was a frustrating experience from the moment I walked in. The store had a strong cigarette smell, and I was interrupted mid-conversation by a rude, older employee who spoke over both me and her coworker. Instead of helping, they only handed me a phone number for customer service, which I guess is the only way to cancel. This made me question the point of having a physical store if they can't actually assist with basic account needs. Unfortunately, dealing with customer service wasn't any better. The calls often got disconnected, and it was nearly impossible to understand the representative due to loud noise in the background. Throughout the year and a half I used Optimum, my Wi-Fi went out at least once a month. Overall, this has been a poor experience with inconsistent service, unhelpful in-store staff, and chaotic customer support. Not recommended.
Worst customer service ever. The price of my cable service increased without prior notice. When i cancelled my service they just offered me other promotions that was a joke. I wouldn't recommend Optimum to my worst enemy!!!
