Customer Reviews & Testimonials
My experience here has been nothing but horrible. I should've known after the chaos it was to just get the keys to my apartment. Apex management were some of the most incompetent people I have ever met. As a 19 year old student, talking to any management personnel was disappointing. Every time I went to the office with questions I was either met with disrespect or no answers at all. After 6 hours standing outside in plain Oklahoma summer heat, I was finally able to get into my apartment, which was dirty and disgusting. The kitchen sink faucet was completely molded over (an issue that to this day has not been fixed), and we went without AC practically all of Summer and Fall. They put in AC window units instead, which led to a bug infestation. I had to seek medical attention because I was bit by a spider and a week later by a different bug near my eye. Both while I was asleep. Then during winter our heater would break every other week. Our smoke alarms would go off randomly and we wouldn't know why. It wasn't until Milestone maintenance came in and looked at our wire system that it was discovered we had burnt wires (due to poor maintenance) that could have potentially caused a fire. My experience with Milestone management has been better but still disappointing. My apartment flooded back in February due to a sprinkler pipe burst. Something completely out of my control. They weren't planning on moving me so I had to nag to be placed temporarily into a new unit because, with it being cool outside, mold was bound to appear. The new apartment I was placed into was better, but the paint on the bathtub is chipping so bad that when I come out of the shower, nine out of ten times I will have white paint chips at the bottom of my feet. Weeks went by without hearing anything from them, so a month after I went back to my apartment to find mold had started to surface on my belongings. After communication this to Milestone, I was told they'd just "reimburse" the money equivalent to the damages to my property and put it into my account. When my apartment flooded I was told I couldn't move all of my property into this new apartment because I was not renewing my lease. This week we had inspections and I asked about my main apartment --the one I pay rent for. I was told they had "no idea" when maintenance was going to get to it because they were renovating other units. In fact, I was informed they'd be by the new apartment to start flooring and I would probably finish out my lease at that apartment because again "we have no idea when they'll get to your apartment". It's frustrating because I am a paying tenant. I have been nothing but respectful given all the circumstances. But prioritizing vacant apartments to renovate as a PR strategy instead of taking care of your paying tenants is baffling.
If I could give zero stars I would. This is quite literally the worst place you could ever live. The front desk people are the most incompetent humans I have ever spoke to in my life, they don't know the answers to anything, they don't know how to fix anything, and they don't know how to email people back. The maintenance people are no better. When I moved in, our dishwasher was broken and was flooding into the bedrooms, they came and turned it off and brought fans, and we still do not have a working dishwasher two months from the lease ending. We have put in MULTIPLE requests to get it fixed and have been told multiple times that we would be getting one soon or same week (I have seen them installing new ones for other people). Last week they came to do their "inspection" and told us it wasn't broken and turned it back on and flooded our whole kitchen and didn't bring fans this time. We put in a request for them to come help with the flooding in the kitchen and they did not come until a week later, AFTER we fixed it because the whole damn apartment would have been flooded if we waited for them. We also had a request in because there was mold in our kitchen (most likely from the flooded dishwasher) and it's still there! When we moved in the pool and hot tub were dark green and almost empty and we did not have them all summer, the pool is just now open but the hot tub is still green. The printer that is in the common area has not worked for weeks and the office people don't know how to fix it but are not getting a new one. The common areas (study room, movie and pool room) did not have air conditioning all summer. The trash bins are ALWAYS overflowing, the grass is always tall, the dog park never gets moved. We also had our ac in our apartment go out in the hottest week of the summer and it took them a full week to fix it. It was 88 degrees in our apartment. We put in multiple requests and they did come multiple times but every time they came they said it wasn't broken and it was functioning properly. I do not think that 88 degrees when it's set to 65 if functioning properly. It was so hot my dog was getting sick and they didn't get it fixed until I called saying he would be going to the vet and I would not be paying for it and then suddenly it was broken and they fixed it right away. Not to mention, this place has had 3 different names and management company's in less than a year. There are so many other things that they just don't care about, I have been getting someone else's mail all year (I'm sure it's who lived in the unit before me and they never took their name off the box) and have not gotta. A single thing of mine. There has also been multiple instances where they have billed us for WAY over what we owe. I got charged for my esa even after we sent his documents because they "wanted to call the doctor to make sure". There have been many workers go through the office and no one stays to work there, when they switched to the latest management they deleted the app with all of the maintenance requests on it (probably so there is no proof of the ones that had been up since the beginning of the year). Even with all of this... they will not allow me to move out 16 days early because they want me to pay the $600 rent. For the love of god, whatever you do, do not sign a lease at this place.
I had a great experience touring the apartment today! Noah, the leasing agent, was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. He made the entire process smooth and stress-free, providing detailed insights about the property and its amenities. Highly recommend.
It took 6 hours to get into the office and 10 minutes to receive keys once in. I understand there were a lot of residents trying to get keys and move in; however, they should have been on top of move-in day. They should have known the number of residents that needed keys and which apartments were or were not ready for new tenants and should have had all hands on deck to prevent any further delay. Still, they closed the office for an hour lunch instead of rotating what staff they had available to keep progress. Fortunately, the roommate has been in the apartment for a year already so it wasn't as run down as some of the photos being shared by others.
Please, whatever you do not move into this place. It is not what it seems, the pictures look like a somewhat updated apartment, well it isn't true. I rented an apartment online from Houston so I could come to town for work for six months. I didn't get a chance to come check out the place for myself. If I would have seen the condition of this place I would have never signed a lease. The outside is as bad as the inside. There are A/C window units hanging out of the windows, this place looks like the apartments you see in the ghettos of Houston. The news has been here a couple of times for some maintenance problems, signing leases and apartments not being ready at all. This place has been sued for these issues. Please do not move here, there are much nicer places for the around the same price. Here are some pictures of the inside I took, I wish I would've taken more of the floor conditions, there were huge chunks of mud everywhere. They said they were cleaning up the apartment before I came to look at it and this is what I walked into.
It has been almost a year since I lived here, never receiving my deposit back, never receiving any communication from Brett Porter (previous manager) and it sounds like nothing will be resolved. This place is the worst apartment complex in town. It is outdated and disgusting, management is unaccountable and unacceptably poor at their jobs, and out of the multiple reviews I've read - they haven't resolved ANY complaints regarding similar experiences with this company. Unfortunately, they target college kids to exploit for money and under deliver in every single aspect of properly managing a property. A year later, wrongfully charging people and zero contact is exactly what you need to know about this place. My hope is in the future, they return the funds they have wrongfully kept from multiple people (including myself) and learn how to manage a property designed to help college kids succeed.
I recently moved into Milestone and it has been incredible so far! I just started working here but before that time I could tell the staff is friendly and responsive, and maintenance requests are usually handled quickly. The amenities, like the pool, gym, and business center are well-maintained, cleaned regularly, and make life here enjoyable. The location is convenient, with tons of local options such as restaurants and grocery stores. The property gets a pretty bad wrap for past management problems. But with the new staff and management I can tell they really care about their residents. They are looking to make a change and build the reputation back up from what has happened in the past. I highly recommend living here if you're looking for an affordable student living option!
I have been living here since 2021. Things started well under the original management, but the Apex group that took over after was... bad. The new management, Milestone, has been doing a lot better. They've been a lot more engaging with the community, even giving out rewards for tenants and hosting events at their office! I think things are looking up for Milestone and I'm excited to see what else they'll improve over this next school year!
