I've been a customer of HostPapa for many years (going back to the old Korax days). The service has always been excellent. I recently had an issue with one of my email addresses (I have two separate accounts with two different domain names). I decided to try to solve the problem by chat rather than by phone call. The technician who dealt with my problem was not only very friendly and knowledgeable, but fixed the problem as we were speaking and created a ticket on my account so that I could review what he did afterwards. To say that I was impressed is to put it mildly.

I have been an email customer of Hostpapa since 2019/01/04. The service and support were excellent. There were many glitches, but Hostpapa support fixed them in reasonable time and in a very professional manner. All that stopped 2025/01/09. Hostpapa has done nothing to fix the "spam email " problem they created. Each time they randomly deem an email of mine as spam, they immediately cancel my outgoing email service. Then they endlessly repeat their "formal" procedures to reinstate the email service which takes several days. Then they then repeat the problem cycle by designating another random email as spam, cancelling my service, and eventually reinstating my service. Hostpapa support repeatedly tells me I should be grateful because this situation displays how Hostpapa is protecting customers from spam emails. This explanation does NOT comfort me. Hostpapa has not taken one productive step to resolve the cause of the "spam" email situation in 3 months. And my outgoing email is currently suspended - again. Starting on 2025/01/09 some of my outgoing emails were suddenly classified as SPAM by Hostpapa and my outgoing email service was cancelled without any notification to me. This problem has been repeating for just over 3 months now - unresolved. I'm getting tired of these "YOU ARE SENDING SPAM" emails from Hostpapa. As told to me by the initial Hostpapa support employee, this is a problem in Hostpapa software. After 3 months of Hostpapa harassment on this issue, I think that Hostpapa person was correct. Hostpapa support accused me of an overly large distribution list. My email list size is very low. It is a SMALL fraction of the size it has been for the last six years of my being a Hostpapa customer. I recently reduced it even more, to try to solve this ongoing problem. BUT THE SMALLER SIZE OBVIOUSLY MADE NO DIFFERENCE. So this was just a guess to pass the problem resolution workload to the customer. I don't need to create a new password every time this problem recurs. I did that at Hostpapa's insistence, and it was inconvenient and did not improve this situation. Telling me it is for my benefit, when there is no benefit, does not justify this Hostpapa demand. This is another irritating Hostpapa demand to make the customer do work to reinstate my email service, but with zero effect on resolving the cause of the problem. These issues started 2025 01 09 so perhaps Hostpapa made some change to their software at the beginning of this year? This was the conjecture of Hostpapa in 2025 January. But all the service and management employees I've dealt with since then, disagree. If this is caused by me or perhaps a recipient of my emails, then Hostpapa will have to give me more information than "ZERO information is available for us to give you." Then redesign your software to capture information. Or figure out the cause of the problem. Just sending me warning emails since Jan 9 this year, and cancelling my email multiple times, certainly has not resolved this issue. I cannot fix the problem, if Hostpapa NOW insists on telling me it is my fault, but providing zero information on the cause of the problem. Is this the quality of service you want for your dollars? Update: This review prompted Hostpapa to investigate the situation. Although the Hostpapa server has deemed all my emails "not spam", if any receiver's server deems one of my emails as "spam", Hostpapa immediately and automatically cancels my outgoing email service. Neither Hostpapa nor I can change the recipient's email server. Hostpapa has decided to leave their server code as is. Hostpapa has decided to protect me from my own "not spam" email by cancelling my email service.

HostPapa turns off your website (both hosting services and domain are paid for) and then requests that you pay for a more expensive hosting plan. So, all honest people should AVOID. HostPapa - shame on you!

worse experience ever! there good at answering phones 24/7 but try get a person to help with your web hosting is like pulling teeth! they want you to file a ticket number then takes hours if not days to get back to you! they also make the customer do most of the work by them do a "on-boarding" process that takes time and is not for the person that's not a computer type, that should be there job i think! very frustrating to have this experience so i had to get my refund then to find they have no refund for the three years of seo services i've paid for that will not be returned or even used as my website was not even put online as it took me a week to notice they haven't even went online yet with my already established website, they have so many issues it's not very professional and the charges i incurred and not was refunded for services not used is a scam and buyers should avoid this company or be ready for the same issues i did!

This review shout be 0 stars, but I did not have that option. I have been with HostPapa to many many years and I upgraded my hosting package 3 time. Now for the last view months my Account manager Stefan Dichev is forcing me to upgraded to new package that I did not need by disabling my accounts without any notification (he did it 3 times). I called HostPapa many time to spoke to management or superviser from customer service and Sales department with no luck, the only people I can talk is tech support and they can not get me to the management. My business is getting hit by this so much, no email access and non of my websites working. I will NEVER recommend hostpapa to anyone. I will be switching to other hosting company soon. Hostpapa have NO Customer service to help in cases like that and I do not know if anyone at HostPapa is controlling Account Managers ?? but they do what ever they want to do to make money and last think they caes is the clients need. I hope with this review I can help people to make the right desiotions to say away from HostPapa.
