Hellgate Jetboat Excursions

We went once last Wednesday with Bo as our pilot and again today (Sat) for the brunch excursion, and both trips were amazing! Highly recommend, can hardly wait to bring our grandson!

What a great time. Very fun and informative. It was the first time we had done this. The scenery along the Rogue River is amazing, and taking it in skimming along in a boat with almost 1300 hp is unbelievable! My wife and I did the brunch cruise. The food was great! Be prepared to get wet. It's why they only run in the summer. Spinning in the river in a big boat like that is incredible!

Best experience I've had in a long time thank you. Food was wonderful if the meal deal. It defined easy parking, the boat captain was funny and very entertaining , employees just all around wonderful, worth doing with family.

I have been on almost every ride they offer, but I still haven't been on the brunch cruise! Our latest trip down the mighty Rogue River was a pair of tickets won from our local radio station, a 1 hr tour. Our skipper was very informative about our surroundings, telling great stories and keeping the trip entertaining. He had our welling being and safety in mind the whole trip! They do take a picture from the Caveman Bridge of the boat you ride so, you can purchase it back at the store upon arrival. They even have 1 free winner from the boat, turned out to be ME this time! Will for sure return for the brunch trip!

Absolutely the best! We booked the 4 hour dinner cruise and was so impressed everything. Our captain made the boat ride so fun. Dinner was amazing at the private restaurant! Definitely recommend if you are in Grants Pass!!

This was our second time taking an excursion with Hellgate Jetboats. We took the dinner excursion. We met at Hellgate office and then went down to the boarding docks. Brent was our pilot, and he did amazing! He was very knowledgeable and fun. We saw many Osprey, Blue Heron, Ducks, and several deer, too! Weade our way up to the Hellgate Canyon for dinner. Dinner was just okay. The salad was good, and the cornbread was good, but I didn't much care for the main entree. It was BBQ chicken and ribs. My husband and I don't eat meat on the bone. We wish the menu would have been posted somewhere prior to our trip, so we might have been able to request an alternative. They did inquire if anyone was vegetarian or vegan, but we aren't. We just don't eat meat on the bones. The side dishes were great. They were vegetables and potatoes au gratin. For dessert, they had apple crisp, and it was okay. They also offer a bar on site. One thing that might be considered would be to offer a cocktail with our meal. Each adult 21 and over gets a ticket, and it can be used for a cocktail at the bar. That way, they wouldn't need to offer beer and wine at the tables. Neither of which were good quality. And maybe offer a soda option for those who don't drink alcohol and don't like lemonade. Just my thoughts. We had an enjoyable time, and I would definitely come again, maybe not for dinner, but brunch.

We enjoyed our tour with our six and four year old kids. The scenery is beautiful on a clear day and the pilots know their stuff. We didn't really enjoy the intentional splashing, however. The pilots do maneuvers intended to get you completely soaked, not just a little wet, which when coupled with moving at 20-30 miles per hour, even on a 77-degree day, many people on our boat were uncomfortably cold.

The guides are incredibly skilled at piloting the jet boats. We felt completely safe and had tons of fun while getting tossed around and splashed on the 2-hour tour. Highly recommend and will be coming back with our friends and family.
