Joan and Jim's venue Spring Lake Ranch was perfect for Lake and Shelby's wedding this past weekend. You couldn't ask for a more picturesque place to have a wedding. Thank you, thank you for all you two did to make everything run so smoothly.

Our wedding was one of the first few weddings at Spring Lake Ranch. From the moment I met Joan and Jim I knew I wanted my special day to be at their ranch. Joan and Jim worked hard to make the venue "just perfect" for our special day. From the moment we reserved their ranch, Joan and Jim dedicated themselves to making the venue absolutely beautiful for us. They were there helping us with ideas, set up and even clean up! Joan is an amazing lady, that loves hosting weddings and dedicates A LOT of her time to make sure it is just perfect. Jim works year a round mending, repairing and building things to accommodate the needs for a perfect event. I HIGHLY recommend Spring Lake Ranch and give it a 5 star rating!

We had our wedding in July of 2022! It was an absolutely amazing day more than I expected!! The hosts were also absolutely amazing helped in every way that they could!

Our granddaughter was recently married at this lovely venue. Joan and Jim Aston have put SO much work into making their ranch the perfect setting for weddings. From all the beautiful flowers, the decor, green lawns, the tables, parking assistance and all the available help. It was perfect. They provided our granddaughter with lots of ideas, offered decorations that were already there if she wanted to use them, stayed available during the venue to help if needed, kept the trash emptied, etc. This is their home and a working farm so we understood that there had to be some rules so as to not cause any harm and those were communicated from the very first visit. Perfect place and if I could give it 10 stars I would.

My husband and I got married at the Spring Lake Ranch this past September (2022). What a magical day it was! Everything was perfect, the venue, the hosts, the caterers, photographers, and dj! I am no party planner, I had no idea how to plan a party for 150 people. Jim and Joan didn't even blink an eye. We were invited over to their home to help us plan what we would need. We even had the opportunity to see how others chose to set up their events. This was very helpful! They did everything they could to help us prepare, set up and even clean up! They have an eye for what looks good and gave great advice on how to set up and arrange for the party to flow. Joan has tons of different decorations or accent pieces to choose from. Not to mention, the flowers all around the barn and the rest of the venue are grown by Joan and Jim! This made it easy on me when decorating! They have table and chairs on site, so no worries about renting and coordinating to get those items to the area. One of the best parts was using the Elk Wallow, (the cute cabin in back), for my bridal party to get ready in. It was beautiful. My husband and I are so grateful that we were able to book our wedding at this wonderful venue. We have talked that if we have ever need to plan another event, we would be booking it with Jim and Joan at The Spring Lake Ranch. Five Stars!

This place does not even deserve a star honestly! I was a bride that rented this venue and I had the worst experience ever. I heard horror stories after I booked the venue and Jim and Joan were great for a while so we didn't think we would have this experience but I was so wrong. Every way I wanted to set up MY wedding they told me was wrong and didn't look good and started moving everything around after I moved everything to the way I wanted it. They tried eating our rehearsal dinner and when we shut them down they got very hostile and rude! On the wedding day Joan came to the bunkhouse we rented on the back of the property to get ready in and started yelling at my matron of honor and then when my matron of honor wouldn't stand for it she started to get after me and argue with me about how I wanted my wedding set up and eventually made me cry on my wedding day. They were asked to leave several times and didn't until they threatened to have us kicked off the property because the young girls at our wedding felt uncomfortable because of Jim getting too close and touching them. They were extremely rude all night and tried blaming us saying we were the rude ones when we were just trying to set up my wedding the way I wanted it as I paid money to rent this venue. I would highly not recommend using this venue especially for weddings. And brides/wedding parties stick up for yourself! This is your day and don't let them ruin it or control YOUR wedding day!!

Jim and Joan are absolutely incredible people. They were so supportive, had fantastic ideas but don't push their ideas. They're so helpful! Joan asked me to set up a mock table to show how I wanted it decorated and she along with my bridesmaids did an incredible job. Both Jim and Joan went out of their way to make everything perfect, offered hugs of support and were amazing when a guest had an emergency. Don't let the negative reviews scare you away from renting their venue! They will treat you the way you treat them! I can't thank them enough for everything they did for my now husband and I on our day! They are such warm, loving and supportive people. They welcome you with open arms; they are the kind of people you meet once in a lifetime, and once you meet them you feel like you've grown up around them. They are absolutely amazing and I can't ever thank them enough for everything.
