BCT is, by all means, an awful service provider. Slow speeds, frequent outages, no alternatives, and, best of all, the utterly outrageous price they charge. The only reason this company stays afloat is the lack of competition. Previously, we've had to deal with internet outages weekly for many years, but recently they seemed to fix this issue. UNFORTUNATELY, however, we now do not receive our promised speeds and experience latency beyond what can be considered reasonable. And while others may have the same issue, we pay TRIPLE for speeds that are 5-10 times SLOWER than others in similar locations. This is still only IF we have the speed we pay for, which we do not. If at all possible, DO NOT choose Beaver Creek Telephone as your internet provider.

There could be some updates done in the company. Yet over all, I do like BCT. We have utilized their services since the 80s over the yrs. We try to stick local as best as possible these days and they are not a bad service. As said, "some" things could change to be more competitive. Outside of that, still love them. More customers to them, better opportunity for them to be more competitive and again, they are locally run...

GO STARLINK , they're running a special , ITS SOOOOO MUCH BETTER (same monthly, but laughably faster)!!!! Impossible to just call and pay the bill, they refuse to just take your information and pay it. As if there's a rash of scammers out there calling in and paying peoples phone bills!!!??? I finally got a live person and she refused to take my card and pay my bill. If i'm out working and need to just pull over and pay the bill real quick, I have to have my acct # with me ? and go to some PAY HUB !!!??? WHO DOES THAT ? So tired of this company and no other options for service and now you can't leave reviews anymore ? They know they suck . UPDATE: So after waiting since 1997, the promised internet improvement never came and there were no other options, so we were stuck with it, until now. We switched to Starlink, my speed went from 15mps to 196mps for the SAME PRICE!!! Its screaming fast now. We did this about 3 weeks ago, haven't paid the last part of the bill yet and got a call today threatening to send me to collections, LMAO. Its been 3 WEEKS !!!? I thought about making them wait 27 years as well, but I wont. Because I don't suck. But, jeez what a racket. I have a feeling BCT might be in a bit of trouble now that there's other options available. If you are reading this and debating using them, DON'T DO IT, you'll be sorry.

We love our beavercreek cable service! We especially love all the local news and local cable-only stations. We will really miss NWCN and somewhere someone will step up to replace this important local service! 2/4/2025, update: Ok, the cable is gone, but now we use the internet service and stream everything. The internet service goes out a couple of time a month and everytime the wind blows hard.

100MBPS as your fastest speed is good if we were still in 2005. Invest in fiber or let the bigger companies in to our area. We have the 100 MBPS and it is beyond slow with gaming not to mention we get throttled if we are using too much bandwith. Unacceptable for 2024.

Really bad company, Customer service and service. I get that the only thing available is DSL. But $110 a month for DSL? Crooks. We pay for 8 mbs but were lucky to get 2 mbs and its consistently down and lagging. BCT just recently offered cable internet to us (new to the area), but wanted to charge me $1,000 for installation. No Thanks. We decided to try StarLink and WOW! What a difference! 100-200 mbs download, downtime and lagging is hardly there. We kept BCT as a backup just in case StarLink didn't work as advertised, but no need. We canceled Beavercreek Telephone and are strictly on StarLink! 6 months and couldn't be happier, LOVE IT! BCT is Terrible!!!

From a business perspective, BCT should be ashamed of themselves. You charge ridiculous prices for lackluster services, your profit margins must be ginormous. Why not develop fiber infrastructure? Why just sit around and wait for the neighborhoods to develop and then eventually a bigger company will deem it "financially viable" to move in and kick you out? Charging $150 a month for 100/5 is criminal. You can get fiber in redland and Estacada (1000/1000) for cheaper. BCT is actively harming the development of beavercreek. I recently contacted T-Mobile, Verizon, and wave about getting fiber. ALL of them quoted me ridiculous prices to do fiber because they would have to dig completely new lines. T-Mobile quoted me $5000/month for fiber.

**update I finally got service on May 9th...6 months after the estimated 3 month wait. Not acceptable at all. I will give a huge shout out to the contractors who came back after we thought they had damaged the water line. They dug it out, located the damaged pipe and told me how to fix it. $75 later...huge plumber bill averted. Thank you BCT!!! As stated before, their customer service is stellar...their internet...not so much. I was told in October, when I started service, that I had to have current service in order to have our line to the street updated.. I was told there was a 3 month wait for this. I have been paying $100 a month since October and now I am told the update won't happen til April or may! I am paying $800 for service that is literally slower than my Verizon hot spot. I want my money back, this is not at all what I was told. Don't believe them when it comes to timelines. Preserving local telecom companies was to make services affordable for all areas. The only thing BCT has done is charge me ridiculous prices and make distance learning impossible during the pandemic. This monopoly on telephone services needs to be removed. It is harming children in our community.
