Customer Reviews & Testimonials
I found your staff exceptional as I was applying for my new service, especially Jen who I had the pleasure of dealing with over two days. The young man who installed my service was very polite and knowledgeable. I would congratulate you and your company for a job well done.
They are presently installing their underground lines and have broken our waterline. Their equipment is also blocking our street and no one is able to leave our home! We presently already have Spectrum here are very, very satisfied. Don't understand the need for them digging around for less than 15 potential customers who don't have a need or desire to change service providers!!
( edit, already tried reaching out to them, notice they do not deny the feedback I gave, just more redirection and evasion over addressing the fact you are not honest about your service, giving you personal information wont help as you had it when I called. Should note I get calls now on the weekends as well what horrible mess did I sign up for. ) Moved from Charter, both my internet and phone. Wanted more reliability as Charter has issues and being I work from home. Thought give the local guys a try. BIG MISTAKE. No spam the last 7 years with charter. Once I switched, inundated with calls now all day long. They lied, they have no filters. Or ways to even screen robocalls like Charter did. Now I am stuck in a long contract. Why are people saying DFN is great? They didn't even care, some young kid blew off my concerns. When I told him Charter has filters. He said we don't. And that was it. No help. Boy they had no problem helping, when I was signing up to pay. I guess if you want telemarketers bothering you all day long. Pick these clowns. I work form a home office. DFN made my life more difficult. Thanks for that. When my contract is up. I am moving back to Charter.
The hardware install is the date your service starts. They do a poor job of communicating this and you can be stuck paying for multiple internet services at once when changing over. They blamed this poor communication on a new employee and would not help resolve the issue besides telling me they could charge me for the install and start service at a later date. I was changing over from one provider thinking I might be better off trying the local service, but have so far been disappointed. Make sure you understand all the details if you go with this company because they won't help you out if you get stuck with the new employee that doesn't have good answers to your questions. All I wanted was to start service 15 days after install and they wouldn't budge. Great way to treat incoming customers.
FINAL UPDATE: They refuse to address the issues, that only they have and no other ISP has in our area. Calling is a waste of time as they do absolutely nothing to help. We all made DFN big, and now that has gone to their heads. The no longer need to help as they do not have to. They are the fastest. But also supply the worst support of any company for any service I have used. This is about when a company like their sells out to a larger one. They stop caring is the first sign of a company that is going to get paid and doesn't have to care. MHO. Douglas Fastnet. UPDATE: Inept. I mean they know nothing about internet or phones. Need support? Call Charter. I hate Charter their product is crap. DFN has great product. They read off basics that tell me they are uneducated and should not be working in support. They get a 1 star. Because every single time I call. Service Ratings: Internet, Uptime and Stability A+ Support D, worse then even six months ago. Billing : A+ has improved and is more accurate. I upgraded from 1 - 2 stars, even though they are really back at even understanding their own software and hardware. Prior they were always condescending. At least now, even though in my opinion not up to par of knowledge. They were polite and tried to help. But were pretty clueless. Like they were fresh out of school with little other then basic training. Old Review: They are slowly becoming the company most of us moved from. Douglas Fastnet fails to follow directions, fails to reply to support issues. Sounds like Charter. They were amazing when it started, but you can tell when a company starts to slide. They automate everything. I've known for awhile they have been slowly becoming a corporation over a Local Oregon service they started as. The internet is Good, its getting slower over time. Sounds like Charter. Phone service is worse then analog seems they upgraded and made the service worse pretty typical to see now days. We improved what was not broke and made it worse. Thanks DFN I will keep my service for now. I do need a support issue. But as is typical the company will response below this.
Apparently I owe them $500 from 3 years ago and they never once contacted me to rectify this, instead they decided to send it straight to collections? I even returned my router and had no idea about any part of this bill. Currently fighting it but I cannot ever recommend this terrible company. They will ruin your life.
Called to upgrade our internet. Rep told our roommate on the phone that only 1Gig speeds are in our area. I've lived here for a year and tested the internet regularly. We've never had higher than 500 mbps. Either the rep is lying or they're throttling our service. This has been disappointing and it's time to switch.
Thanks Justin for helping us out today! If you're reading this- everything worked out. We called regarding switching our 5g to 2.4g in order to connect a new technological device that required it. He walked us through how to do it step by step on the phone. Had to wait about 14 minutes at around 4pm to speak to someone. Lifesaver
