We recently hired Werkbot to develop a new website for L'Arche Erie. Our previous website was in Wordpress, and we felt limited with what we could do in terms of design and content organization. Our goal was to modernize our site, but also make it easy for people to find the information they need. Werkbot absolutely exceeded all our expectations. They designed a beautiful site that features a new event calendar, which integrates seamlessly with our donation software. This project couldn't have gone any smoother - Werkbot really has their process nailed down. We were involved throughout the entire process, but never felt overwhelmed. We were introduced to Werkbot by a third party a few years ago. Our experience was such that we've since gone direct and use Werkbot for most every web activity we have, including ecommerce, web applications, user-customized web brochures, and the design and development of additional websites. We've found that this group goes above and beyond, no matter the size of the job. They are highly responsive, flexible, and have no trouble working to deadlines. We are very pleased with the outcomes of past projects, and will continue to send future work their way. Highly recommended!

Absolutely horrible experience. Paid over $6K for a very basic website. They told me they were great at writing; their copy was horrible and made zero sense, so I had to hire my own writer and provide my own copy for them yet they refused to give me any sort of refund despite using ZERO of their copy. They did not understand my brand after multiple conversations and had them redo a lot of basic stuff (ie I am targeting WOMEN and most of the graphics they designed were of MEN!) I had to have tell them exactly how I wanted my website laid out because again what they did made no sense. Every single time I wanted a SIMPLE change made before going live (ex: a simple typo - they mispelled "receive" as "recieve" as well as many other basic errors) I had to request the change multiple time in writing as well as mention the needed changes on calls because they simple did not read my emails or I don't know, but I literally felt like I was going crazy asking for the same simple change to be made 6 times. Finally, they had convinced me to have my website done in Silver Stripe because I apparently couldn't accomplish my SUPER BASIC website needs in Square Space or Word Press and I am of course now finding out that any changes I want to my website (other than simple copy changes and such) I have to hire THEM and pay them to have THEM make the changes - yeah no thanks. I found this out after hiring a marketing and SEO consultant specific to my industry who is well versed in website coding and he couldn't figure out how to make the needed changes so he contacted them and they confirmed that they are the only ones who can make the changes. It's entirely possible that this was all in the fine print of the contract I signed with them, so sure, shame on me. But I'm focused on my business and know nothing about websites and now feel like a fool for going with them. Will probably end up hiring a totally new website person in the next year to redo my site in Word Press after I shoveled out all this money, time and aggravation. Ugh
