The Vacation Company

Our large multi-generational family had a wonderful experience at one of their properties. The home was well kept up. Maintenance was timely and fixed our small issues immediately. The space was well laid out to maximize the most living/sleeping space. And all the living essentials (cooking items/ towels linens) were available and in good order. I look forward to using them again in the future.

I had the opportunity to visit, as a guest, a property on Bayard Cove Rd. rented through Vacation Co. The property: The rental house is an older 4 br, 3 bath Ranch style. There are sleeping accommodations for twelve. The layout provides plenty of privacy. A heated pool and hot tub are available for use. The beach is a short 1/4 mile walk from the house. The review: The house was acceptable, but could use a deep cleaning. Things like the cold air return vent-covers, shower door tracks and windows were dirty The pool was impossible to keep clean as leaves and pine needles kept blowing in from the roofs. The roofs should have been blown off before renters arrived. The pool was, finally, cleaned on Wednesday, four days into a weeks rental, after several complaints. The propane gas tank for the pool and hot tub was leaking and had to be replaced and filled. The tank replacement was completed in a timely manner and was only a minor inconvenience. The Vacation Co. was responsive to all our calls. Most calls were made on Saturday and Sunday. The maintenance contractors came by in a respectable amount of time considering the weekend. Summary: Five stars were not given due to the apparent lack of attention to the details mentioned above. All-in-all, I enjoyed my stay at Hilton Head and would visit again. Bob Quinn Denver, NC

Our families stayed in a beautiful 7 bedroom beachfront home and rented through The Vacation Company. We were so pleased with the responsiveness and flexibility of the team, especially Sammie, Sean, and Don, when we ran into a few issues that were totally out of their control. Houses sometimes break! They moved quickly to fix the problems and make it right. Even helping us move Christmas trees and answering countless phone calls What could have been a big hassle was actually a blessing in disguise and we will all be repeat customers of theirs. I can highly recommend TVC to all. Already planning our next Christmas in 2025 with both my in-laws and my family. Two beachfront houses this time!

Our second year in a row renting through the Vacation company. Our beachfront Condo in Palmetto Dunes was well equipped, super clean and had one of the best locations on the island. From beginning to end I have nothing but praise for the VC. Easy booking, fabulous website to navigate through, very responsive to any inquiries we had. Upon check in we made a couple of small equipment requests and those were delivered within the hour. As a renter this is the kind of service you dream of.

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE!!! I cannot emphasize this enough - STAY AWAY FROM RENTING WITH THE VACATION COMPANY IN HILTON HEAD! The washer and dryer did not work all week. The screen door was broken. We have 3 kids under the age of 7, and the check out individual decided to take the opportunity to tell us how to raise our children. She called our family slobs. My 2 youngest daughters (2 and 4) left our family vacation crying. Additionally, the check out individual decided to remind us of all the extra charges she was going to dock us as we were leaving. STAY AWAY. Rude. They will charge you for every crumb left in the floor as you walk out the door. It was a horrible family vacation because of this rental company.

Great company to deal with. Excellent communication. I was worried about dealing with an individual so they set my mind at ease. They update and remind you conveniently by email and text. Instructions were perfectly clear and easy to look back on. We didn't have any issues that came up but they texted periodically to see if we needed anything. The condo was perfectly clean. They even give you starter consumables...soaps, shampoo, paper towels, tp, dish and laundry soap, beach towels... They also paired us with VayK gear to have bikes, beach gear delivered right to our condo with free pickup and delivery. Convenient door code so no keys required. I couldn't recommend them any higher.

We rent at Sea Crest. Always the same 2 units through Vacation Company. The units are clean, well-stocked and excellent views..check-in and out are extremely easy. I will say over the last decade, (specifically the last few years) the prices steadily increased. However, if you want beach front and ease of service, definitely the way to go. Pool Bar Jim's is always a blast. Beach is 2 min walk. Pools and bar 1.5 min walk. For reference, good for family or adults only.

Great communication from the rental company. Our house was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the pool was wonderful.
