Palmetto Outdoor

Took my friend Canoeing for his 44th birthday, had a great time. Andy was a cool person to have as a guide. There was also another guide but I am forgetting his name at the moment. Both fantastic guys. There was a lot of pollen so if you are doing this just for fun, I would probably take the heat and go in late April early May or in the winter. Beautiful place.

We had a great canoe tour of the Congaree with Andy. We booked at the last minute so we're travelling in Andy's canoe. We saw lots of wildlife including birds and snakes and the canoe was really easy and relaxing. Andy taught us so much about the unique environment. He worked really hard to make sure we had a great and easy trip. We would definitely recommend this tour!

My husband and I had the most amazing time canoeing through Congaree National Park with our guide, Andy. The weather in the morning started out cold and wet, but cleared up into the most beautiful day. Andy was energetic, kind, funny and so knowledgeable. He went out of his way to ensure we had the best experience. This was the last day of our trip, and it was by far the best. I can't recommend Andy and Palmetto Outdoor enough!

The best way to see and learn about the park is doing the canoe trip. The guides are very knowledgeable, kind, love to talk and answer questions, point out the animals, and make sure that everyone is having a safe and enjoyable time. Thank you, Hannah, for letting me ride along with you in the canoe and to Cameron and Levi who also did a stellar job as our guides.

We had a great time on the canoe tour down Cedar Creek! Andy was our tour guide. He was excellent! He was knowledgeable about the park lands and the plant and animal life. He was a patient guide who did a great job making everyone feel comfortable.

Thank you to the staff of Palmetto Outdoor for a relaxing, wonderful, memorable adventure. Easily accessible in downtown West Columbia, SC where the Saluda and Congaree rivers come together. Everything needed for a sweet and slow ride down the river is provided. Excellent instructions and excellent logistics are provided by the staff. Great canoe trip with Hannah and Levi on South Cedar Creek. So knowledgeable about the flora, fauna, and history! Saw many snakes along the way sunning on the trees, butterflies, dragonflies, a woodpecker and a blue heron!

This was a wonderful outing. The experience of seeing Congaree NP from the water was a whole new perspective on the park. Our guide Andy was awesome. He's super knowledgable about the park, the wildlife, and flora. He was also super helpful with logistics, communications, and navigating us down and back up the creek. He even took us back into an amazing side channel full of giant Tupelo trees that we got to wind our way through. Highly recommend Palmetto Outdoors and taking the canoe trip through Congaree!
