Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Ashley Thatcher

We absolutely love this park. You cannot beat the scenery here. The playground is simple but my kids (4 and 11) both have so much fun playing on it. They have a nice picnic area with tables placed right near some of the best views. We live in Michigan but travel here to Big Spring for my husband's work often. We come to this park every single time we are here.

Area is truly an amazing depiction of West Texas landscapes. Was clean and has areas to hike and or play.

Beautiful pleace to go just peaceful outstanding views good place to walk the trail. Totally worth the trip

Dale Nuaman

The beauty of the water and rocks was stunning. The lovely metal sculptures depicted the history of the area and the plaques told more of the story by the limestone amphitheater. I wish I lived closer so I could see the events held in that lovely place. I was also impressed see the multiple playground and picnic areas all throughout the park.

Emily

Doesn't have many trails or cool things to see, but it's still popular for hikers and bikers! The views you get to see of the city are awesome and there's no entrance fee!

James Robbins

This was actually a very pleasant surprise. The website for this park really doesn't do it justice. It's very, very small, but in spite of this they managed to produce around 7 to 8 miles of very enjoyable walking/hiking trails. It's also very easy to find from I-20. Google says that this is a 24 hour park, but that is not the case. Its open to the public from 8am to 10pm. There is no fee for entry, no check-in process. There is a playground up by the rangers headquarters if you have kids. The view is amazing all around on the paved trail, which runs much higher than the more primitive outer loop trail. The outer loop trail brings you closer to nature than does the paved loop trail.

In my opinion this park is very beautiful! I always love visiting this place! The views from the mountain are lovely!
