When I was looking for a company to completely revamp our website, I wanted a designer who could speak to people who weren't already in our church. Our previous websites had always been document repositories for the congregation, and that didn't attract new visitors, excite them, or tell them our message. So, I really wanted somebody who wasn't steeped in the tradition of church websites, and that's why I chose Web of Arc. One of the more tangible benefits of having Web of Arc design our site is just how flexible it is. We can add new media and redesign exiting pages. The site provides a creative springboard for our own work. When we do new videos or we will design a new page, we are inspired again and again and again by the website that they built for us. The most valuable aspect of Web of ARCs work is the time Lauren and Crystal took with us on site at the beginning. They worked with us really getting to know the congregation, it was almost like they were members of the church by the end of the implementation. We had dynamic interviews, well filmed, and when Lauren and Crystal left, I had more people saying, I hope they are coming back, we would love to have her as a member of the church. And that's how I knew she had made an instant and lasting connection. During this project I was absolutely delighted at just how simple it was to communicate with Lauren. I would often have an idea in my head. After just a couple of hours of simple conversation with Lauren she got what I was trying to do and she even took it two steps farther so the vision in my head was actually enhanced by her work and the final product reflected that. During this project my role was project manager and my job was to translate what seven constituent committees and the staff needed or wanted to communicate to the outside world I appreciated that when we got together, she had an electronic whiteboard and there wasn't a lot of wasted time. It was very concise. I would say, "here's what I'm tackling today" or "it's this page." While I knew we had a general format that we're using, this is how this one will need to be a little bit different. I came away from every meeting, not having spent any more time than we scheduled, and with something that I could take back to the committees and to the staff. Web of Arc makes my job so much easier by taking over the website management. It is something that I could be involved in if I need to be, but for the most part I don't have to be. There is peace of mind knowing it is one less thing I have to worry about. If there is something that I need to know about then Lauren is on the phone and saying "we've got to change out this add-in" or "we've got to reconfigure the platform in this way" but it isn't something I have to go research and figure out how to do. She is just a phone call away and it is really very nice.
