The Native Blends

An absolute 10/10 all the way around! I got a salted caramel matcha and it was SOOO GOOD... I didn't catch the two people's names that were working, but they were a blast:) they were super friendly and helpful!!

My husband and I love acia bowls and we are always excited to try a new place. The Native has the best bowls we've tried between San Antonio and Austin. The ingredients are organic and fresh. Elmer, the owner is friendly and helpful. We stop by every time we are in San Marcos. So good!

Warning this is long, but keep reading!! I'm a habitual review reader, so when looking for a chill coffee/tea shop that also had options for smoothies and bowls, I was sold. Had no clue the owner was the person behind the bar, because he was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, I quickly figured it out. Elmer is a local grad of Texas State, and took a stab at creating something fabulous. Native Blend does not disappoint. There are veg/vegan options, e.g. plant based milk options, healthy add ons, and tons of fruit! And non-vegan options, e.g grass-fed whey, casein, so lots to choose from. I had the Green Tea with Watermelon, Lime, Cucumber fruit additions. Heavenly! I just came off a juice fast so this was a perfect transition. My next move is to try one of the bowls. I'm a native Houstonian and have my spots, and I can say hand over heart this made the cut for when I visit San Marcos again!! I took photos of the updated menu and the bowl I ordered. Fabulous!!

Native Blends has consistently provided a positive and welcoming experience during my multiple visits. Their coffee bean blends give me both the energy and flavor I need to power through the day. As a former barista, I can usually spot burnt shots or watered-down coffee, but I've never experienced that during any of my visits. I also enjoy their apple fritter bowl, which makes for a filling yet light meal before my workouts. In addition to great food and drinks, Native Blends hosts various community events, offering a safe space for artistic expression, from live music to car meets and bike club gatherings. Elmar, the owner, and Jacob go above and beyond in providing excellent service while also building genuine friendships with customers, even remembering your last order. I highly recommend this spot for a wholesome summer date or simply as a place to relax and unwind from life.

Dog friendly inside... new coffee/tea concept...added protein in every cup. Also delicious freshly made waffles...Elmo was the owner of this Cafe that was so new. Recommend the fruity pebble waffle and hazelnut coffee.

Had the best acai bowl from here! The staff was super helpful. There's a lot of healthy options. Also, the vibes are unmatched inside. Really cool spot if you're looking for something to quench your thirst that isn't trash for your body.

Decided to give this place a try on a whim with a friend and will not be back. Customer service was nonexistent/horrendous. It took the singular worker nearly 25 minutes to make our 2 beverages but she managed to make the 2 blended beverages of the customers who ordered several minutes after us immediately. She offered zero apologies for making us wait so long. Poured my $7 coffee out in a bush after one sip. Burnt, flavorless, watery, & disgusting "coffee" (basically, vapid bean water). Please don't waste your time or money here. There are so many other better local coffee spots in and around San Marcos.

Mr.Elmer makes the most bangin Latte in the area not too bitter not too sweet but just right and has that extra kick you need to get you going. And y'all have got to try out their frozen sorbet, super smooth and have fresh fruit available as well for healthy toppings. Atmosphere is very pleasant and laid back, vast variety of music on their playlist from all genres.
