Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Very friendly and cooperative staff, however the internet provided is very low quality. For the unlimited plan (which costs around 100 dollars) you get only 10 mbps for download and 3 mbps for upload. But, on average you receive 3-5 mbps download and 2 mbps upload. I do not recommend this internet, if you are moving out here long term I would suggest starlink, AT&T or HughesNet.
I have been a Ranch Wireless customer for 5+ years now. The last storm broke several of my antenna guy wires. Customer service and support was phenomenal as always. I have had the occasion to work with Trey on several installs. Best service provider I have ever had. And I don't usually write reviews... Mark
I've been with ranch Wireless for 6 years. It's the only internet out here period was pretty good when they started. But now they overloaded the system I'm paying over $100 a month and get a little bit better than dial-up service. If you can go with somebody else please do. There is bad as HughesNet. They told me I needed a new tower to improve service. Charge me $400 it did not help the service at all. Now it's five months later and they're telling me I need a newer Tower that's going to cost $700. I called to try and get some customer service they tell me they're going to call me back and they never do.
This isn't cable internet, and my expectations are lower for this type of internet. Generally, it works very well. Serious gamers will be disappointed, General use users will be able to watch movies and surf the net. The customer service is informed and helpful. I've had this service for about 8 years now.
This is honestly the worst wireless company I have encountered as of yet. I regularly receive 70+ ping during gaming sessions sometimes clocking up into 4000+ ping. Please upgrade your service providing, this is poor professionalism and makes me constantly loose in games where i should have won. It also severaly inhibits me and my wifes work. please fix your servers.
Update 9/12/2018 for almost 6 months now since the announcement of the buyout by VTX communications I have been having problems. I currently have the highest/best plan they offer which includes unlimited bandwidth. The last time I contacted support he informed me my upload was maxed out and was causing my issue. I researched it and it is my Google cloud account trying to sync. Well I turned on my traffic monitor and yes it's running a 1.5mps and staying there. I pause it and it runs at 5-6 megs for a while and returns to 1.5 so even though I have the best plan they offer my speed is still limited. I asked about that and his response is our speeds are not guaranteed but the website says 25mbps down and 4mbps up. Which I believe these speeds are attainable but are limited by the company. I can understand traffic but to forcefully limit my speed seems somewhat like false advertising. If it was traffic causing the slowness then it should fluctuate. But to stay at exactly 1.5 for a week straight...... I have been a happy customer for over 6 years till now.
I live in a rural area with lots of trees. So my only option for internet was satellite. I work from home so I have to have a reliable signal. The satellite signal was good (except during storms) but it was very expensive. I finally found Ranch Wireless. They came out for free to make sure I could get their signal and gave me a recommendation for installation. Did I mention my home is in a valley. So in order to get a good signal we were going to have to put a 20' antenna on the house. My husband didn't want to do that. So we put up a freestanding tower and they came out and installed it as soon as we were ready. Trey and Trevor were very professional and did a great job. They had to try a couple different receivers to get me the best signal but they got it done. I now have amazing internet for a great price. I am paying less for unlimited access then I was paying for 30 gigs a month from my old company. Plus I have been working with no slow downs and then found that my son was watching Netflix at the same time. Everyone I have talked to at the company has been polite and helpful through every step of the process of switching over. Can't say enough positive things about the service and the staff.
Internet is constantly down and cannot handle more than two people on it at the same time. The download speeds are slower than the upload speeds which is the opposite of what it should be. The people at customer service don't seem to know what they are doing. Needless to say, Ranch Wireless is the worst internet provider I've ever used. You are better off just using a hotspot on your phone, because that is guaranteed to be faster.
