Update* Here is what you do. After returning my equipment this desperate company is trying to collect money again. My solution was to call Chase and have all charges be reported as fraud today my claim was approved. Awful Internet provider satellite by nature is not the best but their customer service is also horrible. They make it extremely hard to cancel once I paid extra to have high-speed Internet installed then even after canceling and returning their equipment, they are still continuing to charge me until this day. Hoping eventually they send it to collections so I can take this to court with my receipt from UPS. if you live in Yantis use peoples, they don't advertise because they don't need to.

I recently acquired service through Hughesnet. We delt with extremely slow service for two months. During the initial installation the tech was rude to my girlfriend as I wasn't home. He was very unprofessional. Then the service started and was ridiculously slow. We tried all the normal fixes to no avail. We were instructed by Hughesnet we would have to purchase the next tier speed to get better service. We were paying for the second highest residential tier already. We disconnected the service and when calling to cancel the customer service rep was rude and talked over me. Attempted to get me to hook the service up so they could troubleshoot it. I declined and after multiple attempts was able to cancel while being charged 3 months worth of service as a cancelation fee. The option to drop the equipment up at a local store was not allowed I have to wait up to 40 days to get a packaged from UPS to return the equipment withing 45 days. How can you give 45 days to return but admit it might take 40 days to get the box in the first place. Save yourself the time. Do not use their services.

Absolute garbage internet that can't even handle the bare minimum, and this greedy company has the nerve to charge wayyy over what little it's worth. I had to use my CELLPHONE DATA to even post this review because this terrible wifi couldn't even work well enough for that. DO NOT USE THIS "SERVICE". UPDATE: After posting this review, my internet stopped working altogether Stay away from this company!!!

My review is about customer service, by phone and this company. Be careful, the service in my area is very expensive and of no use, plus they charge excessive cancellation fees and for the devices they install. I do not recommend it at all if I could put no star would do it

Terrible service, customer service reps need training. Canceling early was a terrible experience. No problem paying the early term fee, but having to call for confirmation of the required items being returned 5 times before finally speaking to one person that knew how to do their job.
