Oh Canvas, let me count the ways that you appear to be a program that adapts to the needs of teachers, but in the end you have no intention of changing your program to be at all user friendly to the people that actually use your system. Everything within Canvas is a convoluted mess. To do anything that might seem simple, takes 4-5 extra clicks, per task. Lets take for example creating a quiz. Is there just one way to make a quiz? Nope, to start you have to select between old quizzes and the "new" quiz system. Why not just have one quiz system that has both elements of these two quizzes? Then create a question you open up to like 15 different type of quiz question. Seems like a good thing, but this really typifies all that is wrong with Canvas- there are way to many choices and terrible organization and simplification of those choices. The sidebar alone has like 40 different tab options that you have to go into settings to turn off to simplify your page. The grading program is terrible for similar reasons. Don't even think about printing out your grades, the function is not even available. You have to download it to an excel spreadsheet that has a massive amount of superfluous data that you have to clear before printing. If you turn on the automatic missing assignment function and your students get a missing grade you have to click at least 3 clicks per student for every student to remove the missing assignment label. So to say that Canvas is clunky is an understatement. I attempted to communicate much of this poor functionality to Canvas through there "community" page but very few ideas get picked up in there to be addressed. And the ones they are working on are crazy weird stuff that doesn't seem to help the platform at all. If I were you, I would go Google Classroom. When my district chose Canvas over Google Classroom during the pandemic I didn't realize how bad Canvas was going to be. I wish Canvas would just sit and watch a few teachers use Canvas and actually listen to what they are saying to help make the program not be so counter intuitive.

The user interface is a grotesque tapestry of confusion and chaos, constructed with malicious contempt for intuitive design. Tasks as elementary as submitting assignments or accessing course materials invariably degenerate into maddeningly Sisyphean trials, intentionally crafted to induce despair. Reliability is categorically nonexistent; system crashes are not anomalies but rather routine features, cynically calculated to sabotage productivity and academic integrity. Furthermore, the so-called "customer support" service is a vacuous void, profoundly indifferent, deliberately impotent, and seemingly dedicated exclusively to exacerbating user anguish. The notification system within Canvas epitomizes digital cruelty, weaponized to obscure critical deadlines beneath an avalanche of trivial irrelevancies, meticulously calibrated to maximize psychological distress and provoke acute anxiety. The mobile application deserves particular condemnation; it appears developed during an apocalyptic blackout by engineers utterly devoid of technical competence or ethical accountability. Its sluggish performance, pervasive glitches, and infuriating unreliability conspire explicitly to mock users' aspirations for convenience and efficiency. Worst user experience I have ever experienced with an app. Their software solution "Canvas" managed to notify me 96 times while I was asleep without anything actually happening. Please avoid this company

They have the worst customer service platform I have ever experienced. I have tried for months to get assistance via email, phone calls to the school where Instructure redirected me, nothing I am trying is working to fix an account. I get ridiculous emails that are nothing more than email quick parts I have reached out numerous times for assistance, via chat, email, phone call, back to the school. Does anyone at this company give a damn about their platform, anyone? This company is horrible, no one reaches out except with an email quick part resolution they don't bother to read the emails because I am very specific what I am having trouble with and they reply back telling me to try what I have already done. I wish I could give 1 star in the RED because your company and platform is the worst I have ever seen.
The creators of Canvas are a friendly group of people!!! An excellent company with excellent morals and an overall welcoming atomosphere. This building yields parking galore and there are also a decent amount of food places to eat at nearby. If you are here as an employee, partner or client, you will feel happy with your visit.
This company really takes care of its employees. They treat them with respect and believe that happy workers are productive workers. This is a forward thinking company that includes healthcare in the pay of its employees. There is also free food on site, and their training is extensive, and supportive.
The company is good but there is a liar in it! She chat the order,tell the lie and pass the buck. I double check the order last Friday with her, but when we deliver them food today she said she do not order some food and want refund! That make our suffer a great losses! I will consider give her order or not next time!
