I've been with HughesNet for better than ten years. The worst service ever. I can't get anyone else because I live in a rural area, and they know it. They don't try to make your service work, as long as you are paying. Seventy-five % of the time I don't have internet service, but lately they were double billing me for the same account. I didn't know but they did. So when my card was cancelled they shut off my service but I was still paying on the other account. I upgraded and, got a new account, but they are so greedy, they didn't cancel the old account and they kept on billing me. For six months they double billed me but don't want to refund my money. I'll be so glad when a new service comes this way. They don't deserve a star.

If I could give no stars I would.! Hands down the worst satellite wifi. Slow and unreliable speed. We pay 160.00 + ( sometimes) for 200gb .... Not to mention bad weather or wind ,you're out of luck. If my family had other options we would change. However we are located in a spot that's unable to get normal wifi. Hughsnet definitely capitalized on it. Let's not forget the token option if you run out of data ( you will btw) more money for horrible gig speed. I miss shentel

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY!! I ordered Hughesnet internet service when I moved to a rural location that did not have Spectrum. 60% of the time, the wifi did not work. My television would stop working during a movie due to very slow internet speed and I would have to give up and turn it off. Luckily I had verizon service on my phone so I was able to turn off the Hughesnet wifi and just use my phone. Finally Spectrum offered internet service in my area and I called to cancel the inadequate Hughesnet service. The customer service woman tried to extort $300 from me as a cancellation and I told her that I refused to pay an early termination fee and she refused to cancel my service. I called again and the customer service rep I got on the phone went to his supervisor and told me he could get me $40 off the cancellation fee and said he would cancel my service but my account would be sent to collections for $270. I received a letter today saying I would be charged an early termination fee of $325. This company will not be in business much longer. I am certain of it. Just awful service and zero professionalism!

It was $450 to cancel and I only had 3 months left on the contract. Go with starlink. It's yours forever. No matter what they tell you it's all lies and I promise you will be the most unhappy person if you like internet with these people. These nasty human beings

This is the most awful internet I've ever received. They put a huge WiFi satellite in my yard so you would think we would get some kind of signal, the internet is so bad that our phones work better with it off . We tried to cancel service & they denied us access to cancel services. There hasn't been any usage because it DOES NOT WORK. I'm in what is called a dead zone & nobody besides them would come out here so we still haven't figured the internet out but I would of much rather just not have anything set up & go without because that's basically what we're doing. My 2 bars LTE from AT&T gets a perfectly fine signal to be on my phone. Hughesnet is the biggest scam.

Bad Decision I've ever made Internet doesn't work and slow and get over charged and canceled before the 30days and got charged for cancellation and other fees and 2 months later i got over charged $106 (per month) when I got told my Information and card weren't going to get used or add any fees Watch Out they are so inconsiderate!!!
