I want to caveat this less-than-stellar review of No Doubt Accounting by acknowledging that the company provided me help in ensuring I was treated fairly on my taxes during contentious divorce proceedings, which I appreciated. I (and my husband and I before our divorce) have used No Doubt for several years now, and until 2022 I was pleased with the work they have done - pleased enough to have recommended No Doubt many times to friends and acquaintances. Last year, in 2022, I provided my 2021 tax information to No Doubt on April 5th (admittedly, on the late end). I then heard nothing from that office for months. On July 19th, I followed up requesting a status update. At that time, I was told that they were working on returns received 3/28, and that they were processed in the order they were received so "it should not be too much longer." Then, nothing again until I received the finished product on October 13th - literally down to the wire for the extended deadline, and with no interim communication or explanation for the delay. I was mildly frustrated and concerned throughout that, but because I have had such a positive experience with No Doubt in the past, I bit my tongue and wrote it off as a busy year for the office. Then, in November, I reached out because I had received notification that I was being penalized by the state for late payment on my taxes, which I did not understand since I had paid the day I received my prepared taxes from No Doubt. A team member replied, but I did not understand the explanation she gave. I still don't really understand it - something to do with my W-4, though after investigation I have been told by multiple sources that my W-4 is correct. Regardless, my main concern was ensuring this didn't happen again, and so I asked for further clarification of the problem on December 4th; receiving no response, I followed up on December 21st and then again January 14th. At some point, although I don't have the exact date, I also called and left a message, with again no response. Finally I heard back on my December 4th question - after three follow-up inquiries - on January 16th. Then, to my surprise, I received a $37.50 invoice from No Doubt for answering my question - something I understood to be included in the flat fee I paid for them to prepare my taxes, and which I was not given any warning was a possibility before the charges were incurred. When I sent an email questioning the new charge, I received an incredibly condescending email from the owner, at the end of which I was essentially dismissed as a customer - for daring to question new, unexpected charges and, I assume, for expressing my disappointment in the previous lack of response. Both of the above encounters with No Doubt have been frustrating; neither the customer service nor the level of communication has been what I would expect nor what I experienced the first few years with them. The whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth. This year I used Turbo Tax for far cheaper, without issue and without any surprise charges - and once I uploaded all my documentation, it was complete within 24 hours instead of six months.

We have been using No Doubt for several months now. They have been amazing for our payroll and tax services. Very timely, personable staff. Highly recommend, I've sent several other businesses over to them.
