Staunton Stays

Highly recommend. The location and proximity to the town is really convenient, the owner even gives you a temporary parking permit should you choose to drive into town.. however it is literally 337 ft to the Main Street of the town. We walked everywhere ! albeit the weather was really nice ! There seems to be 4 units within the house! Beautifully decorated, all updated! A very cozy and quaint feeling when you walk in, our place the serendipity was stacked with snacks and coffee ! nice perk! Our first time in Staunton! We'll be back! Next time I want to catch a show at the historic Theatre here and visit the Accordia again! Lots of great restaurants! very tranquil little town! Very friendly! we are from DC and this is a little slice of heaven just 2 hours away.

I couldn't be more impressed with our accommodations in Staunton Virginia. We stayed in the Bohemian Suite. It was super clean and absolutely charming. The attention to detail is amazing and our every need was anticipated. Working with Be Still Getaways couldn't have been easier!

Staunton Stays has suites of varying themes. We stayed in the Urban Cowboy suite. I liked everything from the decor to the layout. There is a huge TV in both the living room and the bedroom. They have a guitar hanging on the bedroom wall. The kitchen is modern and fully functional. They have an office space with some sort of psychiatrist looking lounge chair, if that helps... It is about a 3 minute walk to Mill Street Restaurant, which I am fairly certain is The Best restaurant in the entire area. It is really close to theaters as well as the whole downtown area. The Urban Cowboy suite is in the basement level, so there is off street parking in the back, but be warned: the driveway is tight and good for small cars. There is an EV charging station in the back of the house, which could be handy. If you're going to this area, I recommend staying here for sure. It is fairly quite and seems to be safe. I imagine the other suites are just as nice. Last, but not least: we felt the rates for staying here are decent.

We were looking for something that would provide us with the experience of living in downtown Staunton. Driving along Kalorama and casing the city, we noted Staunton Stays and filed it away. Fast forward a couple of months and we needed a place for a base of operations for a long weekend. We booked the Country Chic suite. The experience was impressive from the clear instructions, to the decorations for the holidays to the well appointed and curated suite itself. Whether staying a night or two or longer, it was like coming home. Automatic lights, security, wifi, clever hidden, rolling monitor, well appointed kitchen and comfy living room. Decorated with impeccable taste and charm the bedroom and efficient bath rounded out the accomodations. It had everything including blackout curtains and extra towels. Kitchen had enough for coffee/tea, oatmeal and light snack; very nice touch. Parking either behind or on street with parking permit was easy. Short walk to everything (theaters, farmers market, restaurants, MBU, etc.). We weren't huge fans of the mattress and pillows. Recommend replacing mattress with memory foam and topper plus guests may want to bring their own pillows if possible. You will experience the rumble and joy of a train or two. It actually was pleasant but you may want to be aware (tracks and station about a block away). That all said, we've booked another stay and already feel like it is our destination oasis downtown.

I just want to thank the good people at @stauntonstays. We had an in-town date night and it was fantastic! Only a block from downtown, GORGEOUSLY decorated, super affordable, and just what we needed. Even though we didn't need a suite, per se, it was nice to return from our dinner date to have a living room area and wine glasses from the kitchen instead of just a bedroom. If you haven't considered an overnight stay in Staunton (yes, even if you live here) I can't recommend it enough. Their attention to detail and the whole vibe of the place was .

Well-appointed, large space in excellent location. Free on-street parking directly out front and no need for transportation to the easily walkable downtown. Comfy bed plus all the expected amenities (and more). Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely fabulous , excellent communication. The location of this place was perfect and easy parking. The quality of the place could not be faulted. 3 week tour and this was one to be remembered, we all loved it. Coffee, Ice, Laundry it had it all.

We stopped by on our way to watch our son play football at Syracuse (from GA). It's also our 24th anniversary so this was such a fun and amazing stop! We decided to stay here at the last minute and they were so helpful. We will be back
