Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens

Beautiful venue and deceiving from the outside. Came for a friend's wedding. The place is a bit smaller so it feels more intimate compared to many other venues I've been to. And it has a garden, flat bridge with a small indoor pond, a small dance floor, space for banquet tables, and an outside area with blossoms and space for altar and chairs. It's also a bit away fromthe main road and with a large garden so it feels a bit like a sanctuary as well.

We decided to celebrate our wedding here because my husband proposed to me at the Winter walk of lights. And we couldn't be happier with our decision. We saved so much money on decoration because the venue itself is simply breathtaking. Also, shout out to Esther and her team for doing a phenomenal job taking care of us before and during our wedding. We can't thank you guys enough.

Great place for a wedding. I was a bridesmaid, everything was pretty smooth, and set up in a timely fashion. Beautiful venue, clean bathrooms which feature a full length mirror and plenty of hooks. Wheelchair elevator!

As a local wedding photographer (Maddy Williams Photography), I truly enjoyed working at Meadowlark for a wedding in August 2019. The staff were incredible hosts, friendly and quick to help with anything our couple needed. The wedding day was extremely hot, over 100 degrees, so most of the wedding day took place inside. The gorgeous reception space is almost entirely windows and provided natural light and beautiful views of the garden to the guests while keeping them out of the heat. I would definitely recommend Meadowlark to couples looking for a beautiful garden location for their wedding!

As a wedding planner in the DMV I loved getting a chance to work in this beautiful garden. It was a great venue for an intimate Nigerian-American wedding. The indoor garden made for a beautiful canvas to build on. We also love that the garden plans color schemes in advance, so you can match your decor to it. The staff was easy to work with, and we loved our time here! We would definitely return here or another county owned venue again!

I have been going to the gardens since I was young and lived in the DMV - I always wanted to have my wedding here because of how beautiful the grounds and atrium are. I booked my tour, and flew in all the way from California for it only to be told my date was already booked. No prior communication beforehand to confirm if I wanted to proceed with the tour, no call or email. The staff member who was supposed to take me on the tour just looked at me after telling me my date was no longer available and asked if I still wanted to tour. What a slap across the face.

We had the pleasure of coordinating a wedding at the Atrium and it was a wonderful experience. The staff are all very friendly and professional. The venue has many great spots for photos, and the reception space is a breath of fresh air with a garden feel in the atrium, with even a little river going through. As wedding vendors, we have tried food from many different venues and caterers, and I can tell you that the food served here absolutely exceeded our expectations. I absolutely recommend this venue for any NoVa engaged couples!
