We planned a small backyard wedding with Purple Onion and had a great experience start to finish! We did a brunch menu and the food was delicious, and we got so many compliments from our guests! We loved working with our Event Designer, Elle, who made every step of the process clear and easy. Communication was great, she was always available to answer questions, and she made us feel really well cared-for and clearly had an eye on all our details! From initial planning, to our walkthrough, tasting, and day-of support, the whole team was incredible and the food and over-all event design/support was amazing and exactly what we wanted. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly highly recommend working with Purple Onion for your next event!

This was the first time I have used a full service caterer for a party and from start to finish it was an amazing experience. Ellie was our coordinator and she was so helpful in explaining everything and providing many food options to accommodate serious food allergies. The onsite staff was also great and did an amazing job from start to finish. We were able to enjoy the entire evening. I would highly recommend Purple Onion and hope to host another party soon so I can work with them again! I forgot to take a picture of the food table but this is a pic towards the end of the night when the dessert was out on display.

We had an incredible experience working with Purple Onion Catering! Cassie is incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and detail-oriented. From start to finish, she ensured everything was seamless, making the planning process effortless. On-site, Abby and Roxana, along with the rest of the team, were fantastic--efficient, attentive, and always on top of things. We heard so many compliments about the delicious food! Their dedication to quality and service was evident in every detail, and we're so grateful to have worked with such a fantastic team. Highly recommend!

This is the 3rd event I've done with Purple Onion. They work with you from the booking, menu selections, and costs, to the clean up. The food is so creative and delicious. If you want a first class event, Purple Onion should be your first call. Did I mention how good the food is!!

One of the smartest decisions we made when planning our wedding was hiring Purple Onion Catering. They were beyond incredible throughout each step of the planning process and especially on our big day in November. We had the honor and privilege of working with Phoebe. She took so much time to listen to our interests and needs to curate the most spectacular food and drink menu for cocktail hour, reception, desserts, and late night snacks. They also made sure to provide appropriate signage for each hors d'oeuvre and that all tablescapes looked perfect. Our guests RAVED about the drinks, food, and desserts so much throughout the night and months following. They shared how impressed they were with the incredible service of the staff as well. If you are planning a wedding in the area, you MUST hire Purple Onion, you won't regret it. Thank you endlessly for everything, we truly cannot thank you enough!

My wife and I worked with Purple Onion for our wedding a few years ago at Woodend Sanctuary. Everything was very easy to set up, the tasting went well, and while the price per person was relatively high, we were comfortable with it. Unfortunately, the amount of food served for the entrees was incredibly small. The meals were so small that it has become a running joke in our family that we still hear about and some of our cousins ordered Taco Bell to the venue. I am writing this review now after hearing the joke again 2 years later. We were specifically concerned about not having enough food and even added an after dinner snack to the contract. I would highly advise anybody considering Purple Onion to discuss portion size with them ahead of time or choose another vendor.

We just had our wedding a few weeks ago and Purple Onion was a fantastic caterer for our event. Cassie, Elle and the rest of the team were extremely responsive and helped us work through everything. They easily explained anything we had questions on and worked with us on our 3rd party dessert vendor. We got numerous compliments on the food served and multiple people even said the salmon was the best they've ever had! Couldn't recommend Purple Onion for your event more!

Purple Onion is the best of the best when it comes to food. Everyone raved about the appetizers, meals, and the dessert bar. They are second to none in terms of quality of their food. The catering staff was great and attentive during the wedding. Planning also went well for the first half of our experience but became much harder later on; we found it very difficult to get responses nearing the end of the planning process and were waiting for a final invoice 3 days before our wedding which became very stressful. We also experienced some chaos at the wedding where allergens were not checked before food made it to the floor and multiple people with tree nut allergies received meals with nuts and no one was aware until someone alerted us (the bride and groom) that there was an issue and we had our planner address it. We found out after the wedding that those guests never received new salads which was incredibly disappointing. Most importantly, we didn't receive an apology from the manager or anyone on the catering team. Given that the issue could have had major consequences if we hadn't been made aware, we really expected more from PO. It saddens me to write this because the food and the customer service early on was immaculate. We would absolutely use PO for a future event, but I think we'd have to consider working with a different coordinator. Update: We were contacted by the owner of PO and she apologized and told us the many ways in which they are improving their processes moving forward. We very much appreciate that.
