Okay, this is interesting. Harborcloud was bought by Summit 18 to 24 months ago. I had my accounting software on HC and the service was acceptable. As soon as the merger/buy out occurred, the service went south in a hurry. Summit Hosting is offline more often than it's online. It's impossible to discuss it with a person because email is the only means they offer as communication. Two months ago if you searched 'Summit Hosting', their information showed up on the right side panel, along with the reviews. The overall review score was 4 stars higher than the majority of reviews. Very questionable ethics by Google (or maybe Google figured out that Summit was gaming the review system and sent them packing). I switched 2 months ago because the service is terrible. I still receive the email notices from Summit about the outages at their Atlanta server center so I had a peek today. Lo and behold, the search for Summit Hosting brings up........HarborCloud. If I had to guess, I'd say the owner of Summit is planning to change the name to Harborcloud in an attempt to get a fresh start and hide the baggage. As you're considering a company to host your most important software and files, be aware that the history of Summit's management team suggests you'd be wise to find a different company. You have nothing to lose (it's unlikely any hosting company is as poorly managed as Summit) and much to gain. Search for hosting companies with legitimate reviews. You'll be happy you avoided Summit.
