Crescomm Internet

The internet service was great while it lasted. Speeds far superior to other options and good uptime. Rural internet can be complicated and Bob has some creative options. We were a customer for close to 5 years but when an act of god knocked out our antenna we were told it would cost over $1000 to get back online so we decided to cancel our service. This was not their fault and we moved onto alternate options.

Reliable WISP. Pricing is fair considering the lack of ISP options in the area and equipment costs. Latency is consistently sub 40ms and bandwidth on the residential service is adequate for remote work (zoom, webex etc..) & typical family use. I average 30mbps down, 5-8 up. Which is impressive considering it's a wireless P2S service. I've had it for over a year and haven't experienced any major outages. I have starlink as well for added redundancy. Although starlink is capable of superior speeds, Bob's service has been far more reliable.

Our family lives on the west side of Port Angeles, where there are very few internet options. And believe me when I say have been through all of the options! Crescomm is a "last mile provider", which means we live in an area that big internet providers will not install the infrastructure. This is where small local companies like Crescomm come into play! Without them we would be stuck with Dial-up or worse cellular hot spots with massive overages. We've been a Crescomm customers for almost 5 years. And over that time they have continually upgraded their networks to keep up with bandwidth demands. We have no problems steaming anything, gaming is fantastic and any small down time usually fixed quickly. I also work from home so without quality internet I would be driving 4 hours to Seattle and that's just not an option. Does it cost more then Xfinity or other big internet providers? Yes, but not by much! But when you live on the edge of civilization and need internet its worth every penny!

Cresscom owned by Bob has a monopoly in the area and due to limited choices of people in the area, Bob uses this to take advantage and over charge, as one needs internet in today's society. It's very unfortunate and people within certain areas where other choices are not available are stuck having to put up with Bobs controling and manipulative internet practices. If one cares to coral with Bob your internet will be shut down and don't try to protect yourself legally, see Bob is friends with the credit collectors and the lawyer that works for the collection company and who knows the local court. Like an old fashioned good ol boys locals society. Advice stay away or prepare to eat crow as one of the locals called it. They dont want to ruffle feathers there as the locals appear to know better. Very sad this is allowed and one is forced to shut up and put up.
