Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Talk about great timing! My wife and I headed out for a drive today and ended up making a delightful, surprise visit to the VanArnam Winery . . . thankfully! While it is anything from high season for winery visits, our timing was nearly perfect! When we arrived around noon, the Seymore family (the owners) had just opened their doors to the public for the day but little did we know that we had such a unique treat that we were about to experience! As luck smiled upon us, it so happened that we had arrived just as their production team was starting their disgorging process for VanArnam's first ever, batch of handcrafted "Petnat". Don't feel bad if you aren't familiar with this winemaking process as neither were we before our visit today. We learned that Petnat is a process similar to making champagne but with only a single fermentation cycle rather than champagne's two fermentation cycles. The result is a product with a slightly softer set of bubbles but that still offers an amazingly broad flavor experience! We know that now because Branden Seymore (VanArnam's owner and head winemaker) personally offered us samples to experience, taken from the process right as we watched it unfold before our own eyes. What a unique, rare treat! As I said, our timimg was perfect! Branden and his wife, Kayla, were so kind to share their knowledge with us and gleefully answer ALL of our many neophyte questions. We learned a ton from this experience and can't wait to make a return trip to VanArnam once their MANY acres of vines "wake up" after their long Winter's nap! My wife and I would highly recommend taking your own trip to VanArnam Winery where the experience is much more than just a simple winery visit. The winery holds events, hosts an outdoor Summer Concert Series, has a Wine Club, and even offers a cozy Airbnb Cottage right there onsite, immersed in the vineyard, where you can safely taste away . . . . without having to drive home! Pretty cool! All in all, what a great memory we made today for entry into our own family's life history book!
Love the wines a Van Arnam. Brandon just keeps getting better at his craft. With stunning views of the Yakima Valley and my favorite bottle of red wine life does not get much better than this. Escaping from the overcast skies of the west side of the state to the warm spring sunshine of Yakima Valley revives my spirit. My wife loves it too. Definitely a win-win.
Our weekend at Van Arnam Vineyards was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The cottage we stayed in was charming, peaceful, and perfectly nestled among the vines -- the kind of place that instantly makes you exhale and slow down. The highlight of the trip was the first-class wine tasting experience. Every pour was thoughtfully presented, and the 2023 Tempranillo Nouveau completely stole the show -- bright, smooth, and beautifully balanced. (Yes, we're bringing a few bottles home!) If you're looking for a relaxing, high-quality, and heartfelt wine country escape, this is it. Van Arnam is a hidden gem, and we're already dreaming about our next visit
This winery offers an unforgettable experience with breathtaking views and exceptional wines. The knowledgeable staff makes the visit even more special, while the food pairings elevate both the wines and the dishes. Each pairing is perfectly crafted to delight your taste buds. It's a must-visit for wine lovers seeking both quality and charm.
My friend and I had the best experience at VanArnam. We showed up early and Branden welcomed us with the best hospitality I've ever experienced. Branden, the winemaker for VanArnam has such a passion for the wine and it comes out as he talks about it. He shared so much interesting information about the grapes and the process of creating the wines and cork information. After our tasting, he took us on a tour of the Airbnb on the property and he truly has such a love for the area. On to the wines... this is a MUST visit in the area. It was hard to choose which wine to purchase and I wanted one of each of them.
Amazing. We we're driving by and decided last minute to stop by a winery. It ended up being a day where they do their barrel tastings and we were able to try two of them. Brandon, their head wine maker was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about the winery itself. He was very passionate about his work and you can taste that in each individual wine. The property is absolutely gorgeous and offer is amazing views. His wife is in charge of the kitchen and makes all of their food from scratch. We decided to get the charcuterie board - for $18. It was an amazing value. Highly highly recommend!!
I truly cannot recommend this winery enough. With its breathtaking views, welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and award winning wines, I have no doubt you'll be planning your next visit before you even leave. It is crystal clear that Branden's passion for wine making runs deep. Take one sip of his many carefully crafted wines, and you'll be a fan for life. If you want to learn about the science behind his wine making skills, just ask him. He loves nothing more than sharing his love for wine making with others. If you get the chance to experience a four course Amuse Bouche (I believe they have one each month), jump on it. Kaela is an out-of-this-world chef - you will not be disappointed. Her and Branden's perfect wine pairings will leave your tastebuds dancing. And, again, you'll be planning your next Amuse Bouche before you leave (we did). If you are considering a visit to this winery, don't think twice. Go! The Seymour family will go out of their way to make sure your experience something beautiful.
Okay, if you're looking for a nice winery to spend a weekend lunch in Yakima, this is your place! My friend and I loved the wine! I ended up buying a bottle of Tango (I'd definitely recommend this!!); my friend ended up buying the Tango and a Reserve Syrah! From the tasting menu, the Chardonnay was smooth and delicious too! We'd the Mediterranean Salad Nachos and Strawberry Basil Crostini. The first bite of the crostini was a surprise! It felt like there was a party in my mouth! Definitely try this dish here!! The Mediterranean dish was yummy too - the salad tasted very fresh and brought out the various flavors of its ingredients! They've concerts here in the summer and we heard that they also double up as a wedding venue! The staff are sweet and friendly. They really seem to love wine and talked about it so passionately! Visit here for amazing wines and surprisingly delicious food!!
