Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Probably the best provider you can ask for in town. Upload and download is really good. I get about 500mbps for their 1gig plan. Definitely not as advertised but realistically I don't need that much of a download speed anyway. The connection is stable throughout the year. There was some issue with gaming latency I had with them, but they ACTUALLY DID sort it out after I sent them an email. Props to them for actually listening to their remote rural customers. Price is a bit high compared to the alternative providers in town, but it's not much of an issue for me given the quality and consistency of the internet I'm getting in a rural town. You get what you paid for after all. Only issue I have with them is their scheduled maintenances, which often happens around midnight and it will interrupt the service until around 4-5am, but you can check the website ahead of time and most people don't use the internet in those hours anyway.
Absolute joke of an ISP. Advertised speeds are never achieved, even though I've bought much better equipment than they provide. Latency is absolutely atrocious, and service intermittently throughout the day goes out for various periods of time. Loss of service is not an every now and then thing, it is EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Misty does not care about her customers. In September, we went in to pay off a debt we owed that went into collections. We were told we could take care of it there, they told us the total, we double checked to make sure that was all we had to pay and service was turned on the next day. Fast forward to now, MONTHS later, and they disconnect us. We weren't aware of any issues, our bill is up-to-date, so we weren't looking out for a phone call or email. They claim they called and called and eventually shut us off when we noticed our service wasn't working. We called Wakefield and Assoc. And they told us point blank we did not owe anything, so we called Misty at Allwest back. She turned our service back on. One week later, we were shut off again. Misty claims she called and called, but there was no call from her on my phone, and my husband put his phone on airport mode when he sleeps. She shut us off and left us without internet the entire weekend. We found out we owed wakefield (which I will thoroughly be investigating), and got them paid today (Monday). We sent Misty a reference number and a screenshot of my bank account stating the money was already taken out. She refused to turn our service on and is making us wait until Wakefield decides to take care of it on their end. We should not have to wait like this when our bill is current, and this was THEIR fault. This is a complete slap in the face, extremely disrespectful, and she should be ashamed of herself (but of course she most definitely is not). What a way to treat people.
Internet is amazing when it is working. I have been having issues with the internet dropping for coming up on two months so far and have called more times then I can count to get the issue resolved. They always pass my ticket along to a level two technician and nothing is ever done about it. They claim to have someone in the field coming to take a look at it and no one ever comes. DO NOT get this company's internet or any other service they offer. They do not care about their customers and will do nothing to resolve any issue you have with them. I wish I could give this post a 0 star.
Can't speak to the quality of service, because I could never get them to commit to installation, after 5 months I finally canceled my account as I grew tired of waiting on them for nothing. No install, no communication, no nothing. The reviews clearly speak for the themselves. I just don't understand, why you would advertise your services to a newly installed area, and then leave your prospective customers unread. I did finally get one customer service rep to respond to my inquiry. . . and when I asked when my install could be scheduled, this was the reply I received. "Unfortunately, some of the streets in Herriman are being tagged as "success-based". What this means is that, unfortunately, those areas are delayed in receiving services. We certainly do want to have you as a customer as every connection counts; it will take a bit longer than expected due to unforeseen circumstances. What you can do to help speed up the process of getting services to you sooner is by going to your neighbors and encouraging them to sign up. More sign-ups means there'll be more funding available for us to run the lines." So, now they want me to provide door to door advertising so I can get the service I've signed up for??? Why let me sign up at all geniuses?!?
Updating review again. Still crappy internet and crappy customer service. Internet goes down at least 3 times a month still. Call and get a busy signal or told there is no outages in the area when they do answer. Well obviously there is since your modem won't connect. Or get told it's "my router that's the problem", even though it's a new router. They have a monopoly on the area and they know it, and treat thier clients as such.
Working from home is great unless your internet provider is unreliable. The service in the past 2 months has become extremely inconsistent. Have had to miss work, use my PTO all the while expected to pay for something I am not really getting. I troubleshoot all the the equipment and of course turn off and on before calling. I call because the basics did not resolve the issue. They reset on the back end and that still didn't resolve the issue. I've had tech come over twice and sure for a moment things were working but there seems a bigger issue going on and I really wish they would take the time and resources to investigate the lines instead of just putting a band aid on the issue.
Has been intermittent since installed in September. Fast when it works, obviously frustrating when it doesn't which is WAY too often. The Big Unforgivable issue... Internet went down on Thanksgiving, Christmas and now the day after Christmas 2023. *Have to find a technician that wants to work during the holiday, then wait for them to find the issue and repair it* takes forever! Horrible not having Internet when your friends and family come over for big gatherings! I fully Expect it to go down during any holiday now. Definitely not worth a Franklin a month.
